We are getting to Disney on Saturday and will have the Dining Plan. We get 7 table service meals but have 9 booked (not counting Cinderellas Royal table which we have already paid for). Based on expected pricing does anybody have a recommendation on which two we should pay for?

Garden Grill (dinner)
Akershus (dinner)
Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
Donald's @ Tusker (breakfast)
The Wave of AF (dinner)
Crystal Palace (breakfast)
Via Napoli (dinner)
The Plaza (dinner)
Grand Floridian Cafe (breakfast)

I'm guessing we should do two of the breakfasts but wasn't really sure what would be our best choice. Also, do we have to make the decision to use our card vs. paying cash before the meal or can we wait for the check to decide? Thanks.

The Grand Floridian breakfast will probably be the least expensive meal on your list.

Of the others listed, the buffets and family style dining have fixed prices so you can either look around online or call Disney dining to get the exact prices or ask at the concierge or guest services when you get there.

Via Napoli and the Plaza have menus to choose from. The Plaza isn't very expensive so it may possibly be the second cheapest meal on your list.

On another thread you asked about your 2 year old and buffets. She will be free at the buffets and family style restaurants because she is only 2 years old and you will be able to get her her own plate of food. At the TS restaurants she can share with you and your spouse and likewise won't be charged unless you get something extra for her.

I agree with PP. Check out the menus and prices here on the DIS or at allears.net. Even if the prices aren't exactly the same when you go, you can compare the restaurants and come up with a plan.
I believe they ask you when you order if you are on the plan or not. I am not sure if you can wait until you receive the bill to decide.
Have Fun.

Thanks. I also took a look at the menus and agree with your suggestions of GF Cafe and The Wave being the cheapest. That's great to hear about the buffets. I didn't realize we could serve her from our plates at an all you can eat buffet. I don't know if we will be allowed to get something from the kids buffet but she eats enough adult food that it probably won't matter.

at the buffets an adult can eat from the kids area. its there for everyone...
