Which TS restaurants are cheapest?

We have the TIW card and have found that Tonys in MK, Sci Fi, 50's Prime Time, Cape May, Beirgarten (or any of the buffets really), are not that expensive at all...$60 or so for the 2 of us and at a few places that includes 1-2 appies and 1 dessert.

It is 4 kids and 2 adults. The kids are a great deal on the dining plan. Plus there is something about looking at a menu and not having to look at the price of the meals you order. I know when i go to disney if I'm paying for the meal at the meal and i'm kind of full and the only one who wants to get dessert I will skip dessert, but if we are on the dining plan I will get the dessert with out a second thought.

What she said. One kids buffet will run us about $17 a piece, so I make up a lot of the cost of the adult plan with the savings from the kids. That is a great deal. This would be the last trip that we would get it, because you are right, if I had to pay for 3 adults and 3 kids, it wouldn't be worth it, since DD definitely doesn't eat like an adult.

I figured if the DS is 9 now, by next May he would probably be 10. I don't want to really argue about this, and I am not trying to be snippy at all. I am just intrigued by the magnetism to the dining plan.

Looking at the buffets prices for kids I see they range from 10.99 to 13.99. Well that right there is more than the 10.99 for the day for kids. Add a counter service, and that really is a great bargain! For adults, you have to work really hard and eat a lot to come out ahead.

But I still think that you can eat out a lot at good places, still get your desserts, and have a grand old time away from the kitchen if you eat TS for lunch and eat CS for dinner. You will break even at the worst compared to the cost of the DP. If your son turns 10 before next May, I know you will come out ahead.

My daughter turns 10 the last day of our trip. We are going to celebrate her's and 2 of her brothers' birthdays (they all share the same day). I know it isn't the end of the world if they don't do the dining plan, but I feel like I have been spoiled on it the last couple of trips.
