I'm having a difficult time feeling comfortable with my current choice. Seeing as how we've never eaten at any of them, I thought I'd put it to a vote.

Of the restaurants listed (don't want to use 2credits for Brown Derby), which would you choose and why?

A little background of our family: it will be me, DH and 6-yr old DD (who doesn't like to be made fun of/teased - issue @ 50's?)

Thanks for all your input! :goodvibes

No chance I'd go to Hollywood and Vine. I have heard way to many horror stories to step foot in there. If you do not want to be picked on, 50s prime time is out. This leaves Mama Melrose's and Sci-Fi. I have eaten at Sci-Fi - nothing really to write home about - pretty decent burgers and good shakes. Most of their other food either was or looked average at best. I voted Mama Melrose as their menu looks like it has gotten a little better than what I have seen in the past. I did not eat there on our most recent trip to WDW (we opted for Pizza Planet- ok pizza and a decent salad), but I kind of wish that we had. The whole movie thing and the seating is rather novel at 50s, but it may not work best for your party. Perhaps you can consider a boat ride to the boardwalk and eat somewhere up there?

I voted Mama Melrose. We've gone the last three years and we've always had a good meal and good service. I love the four cheese flatbread pizza (the ONLY pizza I will eat in Disney). 50's Prime would have been my second choice but if your child does not like to be teased, that pretty much eliminates that. Then my second choice would be Sci-Fi to eat in the cars. We have done H&V twice..two terrible experiences and we will not go back.

I picked Mama Melrose. We had a good lunch there on our last trip and have ADRs for dinner there on our next trip. But, we also have ADRs for Prime-Time for the first time, so it may be as good.

H&V gets some good reviews and some poor reviews. We ate there for breakfast and weren't impressed. I'm reluctant to try Sci-Fi because I don't want to have my husband and older son in a different seat from the toddler and me. I wouldn't enjoy being kind of isolated like that. (Since you face the big screen and sit in a "car" all the seats face the same direction - I'd only ever see the backs of the heads of my husband and older son!) But I've heard their burgers and shakes are the best things on the menu.

I also voted for Mama Melrose. We've gone a few times and everyone has always gotten good food (though I don't remember anything being spectacular). But, we did think it was good enough to book an ADR there for our MGM evening in our upcoming trip!

I voted for Prime Time 50s because we way prefer the food their to Mama Melrose. The wait staff at Prime Time is fun, but they know when to back off, or at least most of them do. I would be really surprised if they upset your little one. They tend to like to pick on the adults anyway and not the little kids. I think the food choices for little ones is better at PT 50s too
