We are debating on our next Disney Trip already.
We are big planners, way in advanced too.

So we have two different options at very different prices.

First is November 21 - 26 (6 days/5 nights) staying at POP
century with Ap rate (if get) our flights would be connecting
from Dallas and about $350. We would get to see the Osbourne
Lights, however, we have seen them twice before. total about
$2500

Second is over Spring Break March 19 - 28 (10 days/9nights)
we would stay at POR , airfare is non stop is only $235 and we
would have more days. cost is about $2500

we are going this JULY 16 - 24 staying at the Dolphin as extra
information to help in your choice.
oh, and we do not mind the crowds.

So which would you choose and why?

I didn't vote because those are hard choices. The Spring Break trip sounds great! But the crowds are gonna be awful! The Thanksgiving trip doesn't sound as good but the crowds would probably be less.

Good luck!

Hands down Spring break. The weather is wonderful then. I have been the last two years in March and have loved it. I didn't find the crowds unmanagable at all but use fast passes if you are into a lot of the big rides. To stay for 9 nights is sooooo much better than 5. You can relax and take your time. I would also rather stay at POR than POP Century. (You may want to go back to the Dolphin after your trip this summer It is very nice. You can't beat the location).

I have also been in Disney right after Thanksgiving( first week in December ) and that is very nice too if you haven't seen the Christmas decorations before BUT since you have, go for March...:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: ::yes::

just on a quick thought,
I thought that the temps would be cooler but not yet cold in Nov

DDF

I picked Thanksgiving because some/most of the Christmas decorations will be up. You won't see them in the Spring.

Since you say you don't mind the crowds, and there will be plenty during Spring Break, :crowded: .......

I chose Spring Break. Appoximately the same cost for more nights! ::yes::

You will enjoy either trip!

Now that you've edited your post to say you don't mind the crowds I've cast my vote....the choice is clear: SPRING BREAK for sure.

Both Nov. and Spring break are equally good times to go as far as weather goes but since you say you don't mind the crowds :crowded: at Spring break I'd opt for getting the longer stay!:teeth:

Not sure if they plan to bring the Osborne lights show back btw - they didn't have it this past year to build some sort of new attraction in that area - so unless it will have a new location, I don't think it will be running. Anyone know? :scratchin

I vote for Spring Break for the longer stay, better Resort and don't forget the non-stop cheaper plane tickets. A lot can be said for not having to worry about making that connection.

That would be my choice. I don't mind the crowds and for a direct flight and more days with same money is a no brainer for me. :smooth:

I typically like going to WDW in the "warmer" (as if there is anything else, huh?) months. However, you're going in July anyway. So I decided it would be nice for you to see the Christmas decorations and the Osbourne Lights. We went Thanksgiving week one year and had a blast!

If this were your only trip for the year - I'd say Spring Break.

Spring break for sure! Longer trip, nicer resort:D . Our last trip was on spring break (March 25-April 3)and we were surprised by how managable the crowds were! It wasn't bad at all. The longest we waited for anything was about 25-30 minutes for the Jungle Cruise. We used FP a lot but there were times when we didn't even need to.

...but I'd opt for Spring Break. The clincher here is that you do not mind the crowds. Longer stay means more fun. Also, the water parks are likely to be more fun as the weather can sometimes turn cool in late November. Also, I think POR would be fun to stay at.

Anyway, my 2¢...

thanks for all your great replies!
we are still out on the decision, hubby likes one
I likea anoter

I was recently there over Spring Break, and I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!! It was AWFUL!!!!WAYYYY TO MANY PEOPLE!

You don't mind the crowds, then you should go during spring break. Staying longer in WDW is better.

I would definately go for 10 days. Why? Great weather and the extra days. The resort has a bit more to do at it then the POP Century does as well. So even though it will be more crowded at that time of year, the crowds wont really get to you as much b/c you will have a LOT of time there. You will want to hit all of your favorite rides and attractions, but wont feel the need to do each park all in one day b/c you are only there for 6 days. If you are there for 10 days, then you can quite easiy hit a park for half of the day, then have the flexibility to run back to the resort and enjoy that for a while (terrific resort by the way). You can hit the waterparks, meander around Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island and the Boardwalk, and just take the time to really vacation and relax, while reallllly hitting the attractions at the same time. :)

I could not have set it better! And all those bonuses for the same amount of money?!?!?! Spring Break gets my vote - hands down!!
