Hi,

I hope this is the right section to post this.

This is only my 2nd post since finding this forum. My family and I are starting to plan our next holiday for sept/oct 2006, me and my df are planning to get married while we are there, the thing is though we want to stay for 4 weeks, we always stay in kissimmee and want to stay there again, but we don't know who to travel with, we've been with virgin afew times and last time TCD, but with it been for 4 weeks, can anyone suggest anything please.

Many Thanks

the best bet if you're staying that long is to shop around for the holiday yourself if you have the time. you could go through a tour operator but with it being 4 weeks, you'll probably find it cheaper if you book the flights and accomodation separately.
eg: flights to orlando international can be found for £300 upwards (virgin charges £450ish for the flight). if you stay in kissimmee it would probably be cheaper to get a villa than it would be to get a hotel room. the only catch is that if you want to get married at disney itself then you have to stay a minimum of 4 nights at a disney hotel.
basically, you've got the time to shop around for prices, so i'd start looking now, and when you see a good price, buy it!

To get some ideas of locations, get the Virgin Wedding broucher. They have great locations listed and then try pricing it yourself.

I found Bon Voyage very competitive for flights - beat Virgin's price by a long way.

I would book the villa direct with an owner - four weeks is a long time and it would be good to know exactly what you're getting (where it is etc) as you'll be living in it for 4 weeks.

How lovely to go for four weeks :)

Welcome to the Dis!

Cheers

Hi

I'm getting married next sept to. We are also staying 4 weeks, (trying for 5 but i think that may be a little to long to ask for off work).
We usually book our holidays independantly, so we will be doing this. The plan is we are all staying in villas and them my df and I are going over to the grand floridian for 6 nights. Then onto the disney cruise, then back again (when everyone has gone home) for the final week (probally using our dvc to stay in the beachclub)
You do have to stay on disney property for 4 days if your having a disney wedding.
I find it works out cheaper to book yourself, especially if theres a few of you. We usually use bon-voyage aswell. Then just search the net for villas or cheap accomadation. Also the same goes for carhire.
If you've got any questions about the wedding side, go over to the wedding section they would be able to help you out lots.

Congrats on the wedding
