Geez, does this make any sense? I would like to know which town car services offer grocery stops and what store each stops at.

We used Fl Tours our last 2 tripsand they will stop where you want them to. We asked our driver which one she recommended sice she lives there and is familiar with them. She recommended Publix and so we stopped there. They were comparable to most of of grocery stores here and did have some good deals.

I used Tiffany for the first time in Dec., and the driver stopped at Kash & Karry. My sister's family used Happy Limo and they stopped at Winn Dixie. My sister requested that store, I think.

That was a great question. I was wondering that myself. Thanks for the answer - I love this website- It's a BIG help. ::MinnieMo

We used Cartier for our last trip this past December, and we stopped at Publix. For our June trip, I'm using Tiffany and requested a stop at Publix, but I'm really not sure where we will end up, as they didn't mention which store they go to in their confirmation email.

Travelbug...did you request Kash n Karry or is that the only place they go?

We used Tiffany last week, our grocery stop was at Publix. The prices were very reasonable. We did not request which store to go to,we left if up to the driver.

We use Tiffany and have been taken to Kash N Karry and Publix. To be honest it dosen't matter to me so I just go where its most convenient for the driver. If you don't have a preference they will take you where they think it will be least crowded and the most convenient to your eventual resort. If you have a preference I am sure they will consider it but if it takes more than the 20 minutes for you to shop or takes them out of the way to much I guess I would consider upping the tip a bit? Last trip the driver suggested KNK and gave us his shopper card - we saved over $10.00 and it was practicly empty - a great shopping experience!

Have fun

I haven't decided on which towncar yet, but we are getting in on a Sunday night at about 10:30. Which stores are open this late at night?

I do not want to end up without a store stop.

Thanks and have a great day.

Dopey Sharon, I decided just to let the driver pick what store to go to, and we ended up at Kash & Karry.

Gee, I didn't realize that the stores down there might close early. We will also be needing a grocery stop about 10 or 10:30 PM when we arrive in Feb. Most grocery stores around here are open 24 hours, so I didn't even think about early closing. Oh well, I'm sure something stays open later than 10 PM. Anyone know about this?

I have thought of using the grocery stop with Happy Limo. I think they advertise a 15 min stop. I was wondering, how do they enforce the time limit? I assume you all go prepard with a list, but what if the store is crowded or you have trouble finding what you need in a strange store?

I spoke with Cartier towncar today and the Kash and Karry stays open until 12:00 midnight. We are coming in on a Sunday night at about 10:15. They did say all the other stores are closed.

I'd also like to know more about the timelimit in a strange store. I plan on trying a grocery stop this time because for once I'm not arriving in the middle of the night :teeth: and it will be great not to pack all the food. Yes - definitely a list - but how to best accomplish??!

To organize your list, first write down everything you want to buy. Then organize it by "areas" of the store -- dairy, fruit/veggies, breakfast food, juice, pop, etc. You may not know the layout of the store, but you know you will find all the breakfast food together, all the soda pop together (probably with bottled water close by), etc. Then when you get there, immediately locate a store directory (often hanging from the ceiling) or ask someone where to find one. We shopped at Publix in 2000 and had our own car, so no time limit, but I know that we didn't spend a long time in the store. We didn't have a list, either. This time we may be doing a towncar so I do plan to have a list and then leave everyone in the towncar but myself -- I'll shop faster without help.

Just thought I'd let you know that all, but 1 of the Kash N Karry's in the Central Florida area are shutting down; the only store remaining open will be in Clermont. There is in ad in today's newspaper announcing 25% off store merchandise.

Thanks Linda for the note on the store. BrerMama - love your idea of leaving everyone else at the car!! Definitely will help on the speed factor. Plus good organization tip.

I've booked with Tiffany. Got a email confirm within 10 minutes!
