We have always used Tiffany (except for one bad experience with Mears years ago). Now that they've changed ownership I'm not sure about using them. We have a rather convaluted schedule. MCO to Nick Hotel to GF to Universal and back to MCO. Who would you recommend, Tiffany, Happy Limo, Fl. Limo or someone else? I need to book soon because we're 32 days out so any help would be appreciated.

BTW DH does not want to rent a car so that's not an option.

I have seen the same question asked, with not much response recently on the boards...sorry!

I was wondering the same thing. I have used Tiffany the last three trips, with the most recent being in January. Before this January I would use Tiffany (and recommend them to anyone). But, this past January, our experience with them was not spectacular. Not awful, but just seemed to be some communication issue. At the time, I was not aware that they had recently been sold. (This may have been the resean for the communications problems). Needless to say, we are also seeking a different car service.

Many people on the boards like FL Tours. I prefer to use a credit card, so they are not an option for me. A lot of folks like Happy Limo also, although their prices seem a little higher than most. Allears.net now recommends Quisksilver. I have been in communication with Magic City Transportation, and have had really good communication and responses to questions from them. (They are who I will probably book.)

I know that this reponse will probably not help make your decisions, but just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. We have decided not to use ME (for several reasons) and we don't want a rental car either.

Good Luck!

I hope you (we) get more responses to this thread!

We used Quicksilver for our trip 3 weeks ago and they were wonderful! Easy, on time, quick and you can use a credit card, or pay cash. We really enjoyed their service and would use them again.

We've also used Murray Hill in the past and while we did have problems with them, they were very quick to offer a refund. We won't be using them again, but I do think they care about their customers happiness, we just had a bad experience.

We used Quicksilver last year and they were great! The 30 minute grocery stop was a big help. I have them booked for this year, also. They answer emails very promptly and were wonderful to deal with.

Have used Tiffany the last 5 times (including a trip last month) and it's been great. I don't notice a change in service at all (with the new ownership). Not sure why new ownership would make someone not use the same company.

We went last Sept. and used Murray Hill Transportation. Their website is transportation2disney.com. They were great! We did the grocery stop, the driver was on time and nice - so much so we're using them again this year!

I'm using Quicksilver and using them for my customers now also. Always used Tiffany in the past and loved working with Debbie but tried to contact the new owner to set things up for myself and my customers but never have received a call back. Contacted Quicksilver and have developed a great relationship with them. You can surely do what you want but customer service and quick responses mean everything to me.

We have used Tiffany Town Car in the past and have always had great service. My son and I used them on our trip in March and had Max as our driver. He was on time, courteous and very friendly. In fact, I have opted to use TTC (requesting Max) for our airport - OKW transportation next month so we can get in a grocery stop since we'll have a one BR with a kitchen (trying to save a few $$ on food). I honestly did not notice a change in their service.

We love Tiffany towncar and just used them for our trip april 24-may 1. We always ask for the van for our family of 5 and our favorite driver, Berkley Edwards. We also did a side trip to universal from the Poly, and had a different driver, but excellent service as well, prompt and efficient as always. We even had a 3 hour flight change, and called them and they were there waiting for us in Orlando, just awesome as usual. We love Tiffany, no problems for us. Even used the grocery stop to stop at the hess mini mart to stock up on soda by the Poly.

I have used Florida Tours several times and they have always provided courteous and prompt service. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

southern elegance....they rock...we had used tiffany..but then gave se a try..and we wont change again..they are super duper nice..polite..courteous....you name it ..they are it..

Melrosgirl...we are not using Tiffany this trip because of problems on our last trip (not just because they have new owners). The problems with our trip in January...

...we had scheduled a grocery stop, they had no record of it...they did accomadate us, but ended up at Goodings (again not awful, just not great),

...when we went to pay, we had a Passporter coupon. The coupon clearly states that it must remain in the Passporter to be valid. The driver at first did not know how to handle the coupon, then when he called in to someone, they did accept the coupon, but wanted to remove it from the Passporter (had not had them do this before),

...the drivers both way were professional, but not very "friendly"...not a problem for most people, but we really like friendly folks,

...there were mix ups in our pick up time for the return trip...again for most folks not a problem, but they were an hour early...we happen to see them waiting there as we returned from a park...it was a problem for us, because we had planned on eating at the food court before heading to the airport...again, they accomadated us, and we grabed a bite to eat from the food court to take with us to the airport to eat,

....because of the mix up in pick up time, it seemed our driver was in a very big hurry to get to the airport....I am normally not a nervous person when riding with what I would call aggressive drivers, but this guy scared the heck out of me...again, may not be an issue for most,

....the drop off driver, basically dropped us off at the curve and took off in a very big hurry....we barely had time to hand him a tip and he was gone!

We have used Tiffany before with wonderful experiences. My comment about the new ownership was just to make a point that I wonder if it had just changed and maybe some things were just not communicated between owners (we had made reservations in Oct/Nov for the Jan trip).

I am glad to hear folks having better service on recent trips, but I still think we are going to try someone new this trip.

Thanks for all the responses from everyone...it is helpful to hear everyone's opinions! :goodvibes

We have used FL Tours two times in the last 9 months. They are great! Even when we were there during the hurricane last fall they were extremely accommodating! :cool1:

By any chance was the driver's name Avi? We used Tiffany back in March when they were in the process of changing ownership. They were on time both at pickup and return to the airport, but the pickup driver made us all on edge. When I called to confirm our reservation two days before we arrived, I mentioned we wanted a grocery stop. The person on the phone told me not a problem to just mention it to the driver which I did. He said he could not do that because it is not noted on our reservation. Argh! He started to really give me a hard time about it. I finally said we can clear this up with a call to the reservations office, which we did. In the end, we got our grocery stop, but he drove like a maniac with 12 of us in the van. His whole attitude changed. When we got to the resort, he basically opened the door to let everyone out, threw the luggage on the curb while talking to someone in another language on his cell phone, and left. We were even polite enought to compensate him with a substantial tip for taking us to the grocery store.

On the return trip, we had a different driver who was very professional and drove like a normal person.

We are going again next month and are giving them another try. I'm hoping it was just an isolated insident beings they were in the midst of a ownership change.

JohnnyR...it sounds like him, but I honestly can not remember his name. (I was just glad as heck to get out of the van.) I will be curious to know how your trip goes next month. We are going late July and have not made any reservations yet....

another vote for quicksilver. We have used them twice and will be using them again in july.

How come no one is considering using the free Magical Express??? Although the first week was a little rocky (as with most new things), I've talked to lots of guests at the resort where I work and everyone seems happy - - - quick time getting to the resort and luggage arrives in your room without you having to claim it or deal with it.
