Which touring program to use?

I have tried all of them and my favourite is Ridemax, it is the only one I use now.

I have only used touringplans. However I have hear good thing about each method and think that each one would have it advantages and disadvantages. For example, Ridemax would be very good to use if you were visiting WDW at a very busy time like Spring Break or Christmas! If you were at WDW during a very slow time, like January you could just wing it with a list of your faves and must sees! I would think that TGM would fall somewhere in the middle of that! The cost of TGM and Ridemax could be prohibitive to some people though! We used touring plans for our trip in January and it worked great!

I vote for Ridemax. I have not used it in the parks yet, but will on our next trip. I really like the software and I am able to customize what WE want to see. A close second is TouringPlans.com. Joined TGM to check it out but I have seen some things that seem to be very out of date.

It depends on when you're going... For a slow time of year, I'd put together a list of what you want to ride and just wing it. We've used UG and TGM, but I've found that when the crowds are low we throw out the touring plans and instead adopt a strategy that minimizes backtracking/walking in circles rather than one designed to cut wait times. No planning site needed, just a set of park maps and an Excel spreadsheet (or piece of paper, if you're not a tech-dork like me )

Of the two I've used, I like them both for different reasons. I feel like the crowd info is kept more up-to-date on UG, but TGM offers a lot more information (most of which is easy enough to find here or at Allears or such but is nice to have in one place) and I find the forums helpful on his site.

We just returned this past weds and I used TGM and TouringPlans.com (UG).

I found Touringplans.com to be totally off with all of the 9's and 10's given. It was not that crowded. TGM was more accurate with the suggested parks to visit. I followed his info and we had a great time.

TGM! I love the least-crowded parks advice--more than worth the $18! And I always buy the UG, too.

I have used Tour Guide Mike on my previous 3 trips and loved it..I did pay for it again this trip, mostly because of the least crowded parks info and I enjoy his forums..another place to talk Disney! Honestly tho I feel I have learned his methods and probably don't need it and I plan to purchase ridemax in the next few weeks. If you have necer used TGM tho I recommend it because it explains alot of how-to's and why to do certain things/go to certain places at different times. That way if you deviate from your planning you are still armed with knowledge.

I've always used the "get up early and go on the least crowded ride" option.

Figure out which rides you want to go on and head for the most popular ride at rope drop. Get to the park early and you'll be surprised how much you can get done. Never used any guide and I think I do just fine.
