Hubby and I will have some free time in WDW this trip, as the teens are bringing a friend, and old enough to be out and about on their own. I am thinking of trying to book a tour for the two of us. We did the 6 1/2 hour Keys to the Kingdom last year and it was great, but don't want to spend that much time on a tour again this year. I'd like to ask for your opinions on what tours you would choose, have done and your opinion of it, or would recommend. TIA

Hey DeeCee - my hubby and I are visiting in Sept. and plan to do Wild By Design at AK and Hidden Treasures of WS at EPCOT. We did KTTK last trip
(TG it only took us five hours) and really enjoyed it. The tours we picked this time seem similar to KTTK, although both are only three hours long. Good luck deciding!

I agree with doing the Segway Tour. It's great!

We did keys to the kingdom last year and loved it.

This year we booked the Undiscovered Future World Tour at Epcot.

Its supposed to take you behind the scenes at Epcot and let you see the Illuminations barges as well and see how they set up for it.

It is only $49, last 4-4 1/2 hours, and says they invite you back to a vip area later that night or another night to see illuminations.

they do offer a AAA or AP discount as well.

We might also do the richard petty driving experience as well. We are looking at the rookie experience to actually drive the stock cars.

what exactly is the Segway Tour?

The Segway is an individual people moving machine. Looks like a podium on wheels. There are 2 different tours you can take. The first one is a one hour inside instructional, the second is a two hour with the first hour inside instructional and the second hour you ride as a group "follow the leader" through WS. I would definitely suggest the 2 hour tour! It is great!

DH and I did it this past December. We had a lot of fun and had great teachers.

On my last trip I did Undiscovered Future World and the Backstage Safari at AK. I would reccomend both of those. I really enjoyed the Backstage Safari it was so neat to see how they do everything and care for the animals at AK and then take the safari ride w/o the driver talking and learn all of the ins and outs of the ride.

We just did the Around the World on a Segway tour over at EC and it is very good and only 2hrs. They have an 8:30am tour and a 9:30am tour. Every enjoyable and not that long.

I also vote for the Segway tour. It is a lot of fun. Hubby and I went on the two hour one a couple of years ago. It is cool because at the end when you are riding them back to the training area, you are an attraction and get to wave :wave2: to the guests as they are entering WS.

We will do it again probably in a couple of years. :smickey:

We are going to do the tour at THE LAND where they take you around and show you the how to's of the planting and such. It is very cheap and only about 7-10 person. I haven't checked into yet but it sounds very interesting. you could go on the all ears site right above my post and check it out. Marianne :goodvibes
