Which Tour Should We Take?

Last trip, my DF surprised me by reserving the Around The World at Epcot Segway tour. At first, I thought she was crazy to spend that kind of money, but it took WEEKS to wipe the smile from my face! (OK, I'm actually STILL smiling a little 6 months later). :teeth:

Now, I want to return the favor. I'm torn between a couple. My first thought is the Keys to the Kingdom Tour or possibly the Backstage Magic tour (a little pricey for me, though - is it worth it?). But, she would absolutely LOVE the Seas Aqua Tour (at The Living Seas) or the Dolphins in Depth. I, however, do not swim and have a bit of a phobia when it comes to the water, so it would be her going solo for those. BTW, our trip is Feb 26-March 3, so perhaps temperature would be a factor as well.

I'd appreciate your thoughts and insights for those who have taken these.

The only tour I've taken is the KTTK, and I would highly recommend it. It's reasonably priced and doesn't take up your whole day. The group is usually around 20, and the tour guide has a mike and the guests have receivers and earpieces, so it's really easy to hear the commentary. We learned some really fascinating things about MK and WDW. There are reviews on allearsnet.com (including mine). Backstage Magic is pricey and goes the whole day, but people who have done it do rave about it. But if the budget is an issue, maybe KTTK is the way to go.

The only tour I've taken is Keys to the Kingdom, and I thought it was excellent! Worth every penny of a pretty reasonable price.

Indeed the Backstage Magic Tour seems a little pricey, but it's actually a good bargain! It's the only tour that you don't use a day of your park tickets, so you're saving that cost. Plus your lunch is included. (All you can eat, family style in Mama Melrose - delicious!) You visit three parks - you are transported on a luxury motor bus and everyone is given free bottles of cold water. Then at the the end, you will also receive trading pins too.
This is the most informative tour available and you will see things backstage (and up front) that others will never get to see or experience. Of all the tours we have taken, this is by far the most memorable and most enjoyable.

I have done several tours - Keys to the Kingdom, Backstage Magic, Hidden Treasures of World Showcase, and the Segway Tour (I agree - my hubby and I can't wait to do this again, and have lobbied for an "advanced class" - no faster, but longer on Segways).

My opinion - by far, the best is Backstage Magic. It was incredible, and I agree with the earlier poster about value. HOWEVER, I did Backstage Magic first, and then Keys to the Kingdom. Keys was great, but a tiny bit of a letdown after Backstage Magic. Soooo, you might want to do Keys first, and then Backstage Magic on your next trip....

My DH and I did the KTTK tour a few years ago and I would love nothing more than Backstage Magic!!! :)

I highly recommend taking Backstage Magic if you are looking to see some areas that are not readily available to the general public and also not generally open to most Cast members that work at Walt Disney World. Backstage Magic is one of the oldest programs out of all of the offerings. You see a whole lot more than Keys To The Kingdom and you are more likely to get correct information. The Backstage Magic facilitators have been around a while and really know the history of the company well. It is well worth the money you pay if you are able to afford the charge.
