So I counted wrong and we have 1 too many ADRs booked. I really don't think we want to drop one so which is best to pay OOP? I know a lot of people say T-Rex. but I can not find coupons for it, unless they'll accept rainforest cafe coupons... So this is my list
9/22
MBYBBQ
2 TS

9/23
CS lunch
Crystal palace dinner
1 CS/1 TS

9/24
CS lunch
Akershush dinner
1 CS/1TS

9/25
CS lunch
Biergarten dinner
1 CS/1TS

9/26
CS lunch
T-Rex cafe dinner
1 CS/1TS

9/27
CS lunch and dinner
2 CS

9/28
Ohana breakfast
50's PT Cafe dinner
2 TS

9/29
CS Breakfast
1 CS

Total = 8TS / 7CS

We would be paying for 2 adults, 1 child, and sharing with a 2 yo.

I would say T Rex oop. As to the coupons, not sure what you have, but if they are tied to your landry's club card, they should work fine. Just ask at the restaurant.

It would depend on what u are planning on ordering. If you go to Trex and want steaks or filet( or other high priced main course), that is costly, if you are planning just burgers or sandwiches then it is not worth DDP in my opinion. 50's Prime Time again look at menu and compare cost. We would normally pay OOP for breakfast. So look at Ohana's breakfast cost compared to your main courses and desserts at the other two restaraunts.

I agree with this. Generally, breakfasts are the least expensive meal of the day. Chances are that 'Ohana breakfast is your least expensive ADR. I would personally figure on paying OOP for that one.

Another option would be to pay OOP for Mickey's BYBBQ. While there is some value in using 2 TS credits on kids, there is no value in using 2 TS credits for each adult. It may work out better for you to pay OOP for MBYBBQ and add an extra TS meal.

50s Prime Time could also be an option. Take a look at the menu and see what you might order. Perhaps you could share a dessert instead of everyone getting their own. The sampler platter is also big enough to share.

I would also keep in mind that you don't have to pay for everyone using credits (or OOP) at any meal. So if you go to something like 50's PT and one person wants the sampler ($20) but the other adult wants the plain Caesar Salad ($14), you might consider using a credit for the sampler, and paying OOP for the salad. Then reverse this at another venue.

In general breakfasts are less than lunches or dinners, but character breakfasts can be pricey.

Likewise, you might see if it's cheaper to pay for one MBYBQ OOP because it takes two credits ($55 so that's about $22.5 per credit).

I would pay for the Ohana breakfast OOP. It appears to be your cheapest option.

Is TRex on the dining plan? When we ate there last year they did not accept the dining plan. I thought that TRex and Rainforest Cafe were not part of the plan.

They are both part of the 2012 DDP. The 2013 list is not yet complete, so no guarantees at this time.

I would look at the T-Rex menu. I know when we go I'll probably just get quesadillas or something which isn't that expensive. It just depends what you're going to order. ;)

T Rex is not on Landry card found out today. to pay OOP 50's PT would be cheapest for OOP and had thought Akerhouse was 2 TS??? could be wrong and if I am sorry.

Going over the menus on All Ears and pricing out what we would likely order it looks like PT will be the cheapest to pay OOP. I spoke with my husband and I think what we'll attempt to do is if we're somewhere and ordering a lower priced menu item we'll try to remember to not use the DDP on that entree. If we are suffering from vacation brain and don't do that we can just pay for PT OOP since it's our last dinner.

Also we can always cancel this even once we're there if we decide we've just had too much food in general. Then we could use a CS and just pay OOP for breakfast on our departure day. We're taking the stance of not sweating it and we'll just roll (probably literally after a week of eating like this!) with the flow. :)

I think paying OOP for PT is your best bet. I see a lot of posts on here about which to pay OOP and everyone tries to figure out the cheapest meal. I understand that....BUT people forget that someone may get sick or you oversleep an ADR or you are just not in the mood to eat anymore by the end of the trip...

I think it is wise to choose a meal later in the trip to go OOP b/c you may find that things did not go as planned

Akershus is definitely only 1 TS. I agree that the cheapest OOp would probably be 'Ohana breakfast or depending on what you are going to order, T-Rex.

Do you have a Landry’s Select Card? If you do I would pay out of pocket for Trex so at least you will get your points towards your 25 gift card because I am not sure if you would receive the points if you use the dinning plan to pay.

I haven't looked at the prices so I could be totally off here....But wouldn't Biergarten be cheaper than 50's PT? Considering Biergarten is a buffet with a fixed price per person and the other is each person rdering individually? I would think Ohana breakfast or Biergarden lunch would be the two cheapest meals....

Potentially, but it depends on what is ordered. According to Allears.net, the adult dinner (the OP has Biergarten listed for dinner) at Biergarten costs about $35 (w/tax). At 50's PT, if you went with the cheapest entree, dessert, and drink it would be $23; if you went with most expensive $35. So, it really depends on what you're ordering.

'Ohana breakfast is about $23, so again, it depends on what you order elsewhere as to whether this is the cheapest or not.

T-rex. Menu has a variety of pricing. Cash is the way to go. We are doing cash @ TRex ourselves.
