I read in the Unoffical guide book that most people getting off the Safari ride head straight to the Pangani Forest Trail and it is very crowded. We plan on taking advantage of EMH on Friday (May 14), I was wondering if we should do Pangani Forest Trail first and then do Safari??? What do you think? Also, if we do plan it that way should we grab a fast pass at Safari before we go on the Trail?

If it was me I would do the Safari first....just my two cents...:earsgirl:

EVERYONE goes to the Safari in Animal Kingdom. It was the most crowded area of the park when we were there. My vote is to get a fastpass, do the trail, then come back for the ride. Unless your group moves really fast you will wait for the Safari anyway. The gorillas in the trail were very interesting to our group. Who is really watching whom?

Depending on when you get there, will determine the length of the line! Usually when we get there within the hour of park opening, the line isn't bad. I would recommend it first. But, if there is a wait, then grab that fast pass and check out the trail first!

I would play it by ear. If there is a wait for the Safari, grab a fast pass and do the trail first. If there is no wait for the safari, just do that first.

I always do the Safari first and there are hardly any people there. then I work my way back.

If you can't get on the safari relatively quickly, you definately want to grab a fastpass.

The line will just get longer and longer and looooooonger.......

The last two times I have been at AK we got a FP and then walked the trails. Most of the crowd are at the safari and the trails then are usually quite empty. You are still within the first hour of the safari and the animals are still pretty active but you can see the trail in relative calmness that doesn't happen later on in the day.
