So DFi booked some ADRs trying to be helpful...but now we have two extra!
So Im trying to figure out which to cancel
Ohana for dinner
Boma for breakfast
Kona for breakfast
or
Coral Reef for Lunch are the ones up for cancellation
as the rest I have set in stone :)
Any ideas?

My logic right now is telling me Coral Reef and Kona as Kona is on our departure day and Coral Reef we have another TS that day at Raglan Road (lovee Raglan Road!!!)

But would anyone suggest cancelling the other two over these two?

Ohana has been mediocre the last couple of times we ate there. If you have eaten there before, then I would cancel that one. It is kind of pricey too.

Have fun!

I'd cancel Coral Reef. The last time we ate there ther service was poor, the meal took FOREVER (and it was a lunch). We're just kind of "over" that place.

Oh I should probably add Ive only eaten at Boma before :)
So the food is mediocre thats no good !

I would say it depends on the day and time for Ohana. We were there on 6/16 9:10 reservation and it was our favorite meal of the trip. I heard those that were there on Saturday had slower service. If you like Shrimp, it was really really good. The wings are excellent. I don't eat steak so I can't comment much. DH said it was 2nd to Mama Melrose. The chicken was a little dry to me, but that is the only thing I didn't care for. DD got seconds on the noodles so I believe she liked them a lot. But, she is a noodle fanatic.

If it were me, I'd drop Coral Reef... and probably Ohana. Both tend to get somewhat mixed reviews.

Kona is a must do for us, regardless of where we are staying, and we typically enjoy ending our vacation with a breakfast there on departure day. Who can resist a good press pot of fresh roasted Kona coffee? :thumbsup2

As for Boma, dinner there is excellent! The breakfast buffet isn't something I'd necessarily go out of my way for though, unless you are staying at AKL or had plans to spend a bit of time actually exploring the resort after your meal.

So I guess if it comes down to a Boma breakfast or an Ohana dinner, the choice would depend on how easily/conveniently each fit into my touring plans for the day (travel between MK & AKL, for example, is c. 20 minute drive, where as the monorail ride between MK & Poly is very short).

Personally, coming from reviews/experiences with the places you've mentioned, I would cancel Coral Reef and Ohana. While Coral Reef was kind of cool b/c of the aquarium being right there, the food was just "meh". I hear such mixed reviews for Ohana that I'm scared to try it.

Boma for breakfast was excellent. Always hear wonderful things about Kona. That's just my 2 cents though...good luck!

I'd go with what's logical to your situation. All of the restaurants you mentioned are about the same in my book. ::MinnieMo

I would not cancel Ohana.
I know lots of people knock it but we love it!
When we go in Dec. we are eating there 2 times.
We also like Coral Reef but I'd cancel it as it is a lunch & you already have something else you really like on that day.
I've never eaten breakfast at Boma so I'm no help there.

Thank you for your feed back... I decided to actually cancel Coral Reef and Ohana. My DFi mentioned with my seafood allergy that coral reef could be problematic and Ohana the shrimp may touch the other meats. So since you guys seem to think those are the two to cancel I think Ill go with that. I was kinda excited about the aquariums but we werent guaranteed to be right by them anyways

I would cancel Coral Reef too. Service wasn't good, and I didn't enjoy the food or the atmosphere.

My husband has a seafood allergy and has never had a problem at Coral Reef. He also hasn't had any problems at Ohana, but we ate there before the shrimp were skewered.

At any Disney restaurant, just let your server know about your allergy and they will be certain that nothing comes in contact with your food that might give you a problem. Most times the chef will come out to speak with you personally. ::MinnieMo

'ohana and coral reef get my vote for most inconsistant service - can be great to truly horrible

The shrimp shouldn't touch anything else at ohana. They ask you if you want it before putting it on your plate. If you tell them you are allergic, he would actually have to request it to get any, I think. A lot complain about feeling rushed there, but you just have to tell them you aren't ready for something. If you've ever been to a Texas de Brazil, it's the same concept. If you can get reservations at 9, it's great because they dim the lights and you can see the fireworks and you can hear what the people at the park here, too.

Smart choice! I would honestly avoid Coral Reef like it was the plague  The food was so so so so bad to the point where it was inedible and EVERYTHING for us (and we are 8 people, meaning 24 dishes: apps, entrees, and desserts) were returned plus it took so long that we missed Illuminations and I have never watched it.
