Which time would be better at Ohana with kids

I'm trying to figure out which day I go where with my boyfriends kids. We told them about the trip last night so we could get feedback on what fast passes to make and where they want to go. So we decided on one day at Epcot, magic kingdom and Hollywood studios. I want to take them to Ohana and I'm not sure which day and time would be best.

We are driving up Saturday early morning so my original thought was do Epcot this day and a dinner at one of the countries. But I have an Ohana at 4pm which I feel like would be a good time for them to enjoy. But if we did that we'd probably switch to doing Magic Kingdom and I'm not sure it'll give us enough time in the park.

My other option is do Magic Kingdom on Sunday and we have a 6:40 reservation at Ohana. I'm just worried about this one already being on the late side for them and I know it gets backed up. At home they usually go to bed around 8 but will probably stay up a little later since it'll be vacation.

Which one should I pick?

I would pick the 6:40. I’m not sure how old the kids are, but on our first trip my youngest was almost 5 and 8 was his bedtime too.

We were okay with a later dinner but ran into trouble if it was after 7:30 or 8. Up until then was doable.

I like your plan for Epcot with dinner there the first day and that will give you a bit longer at MK.

Because of the concern for a later dinner with young kids (I share that concern with young kids and always advise trying to stick to as close to home pattern for sleep/eating at Disney as possible), I would go with the 4pm one on your Epcot day and leave that a your EP day. Since you're driving, it's really not that big of a deal to hop in your car from EP, drive to Poly have the meal and then drive back (it's only about a 10 min drive max). Or, if you wanted to leave the car at EP, you could take a bus to Poly, but I personally wouldn't want to eat up the time on waiting for a bus.

How old are the kids?

In general, I'm going to say if they are younger than 5, go with the 4:00 ADR. Older, go with the later one.

You could go with either time.

The earlier time is good for kids who are still taking naps. Obviously, the kids with you are past that phase.

Have fun! :)

They're 8 and 13. I'm mostly concerned for the 8 year old.

I have a 9-year old. The 6:40 pm reservation will be fine, IMHO! On school nights, he goes to bed at 8 pm. On WDW nights, he stays up WAY later!

I would stick to your first plan - go to EP on the first day and eat in one of the countries and do MK and O'hana at 6:40 pm on your second day.

ok Thanks :)

I would definitely do the later time on your MK day. Even with a car it will take a huge chunk of time on your already short trip to leave and drive to Ohana. Easy to hop monarail from MK. I would , for your kids ages, throw bedtimes out the window at WDW.By their ages kids can pretty much go with the flow for at least a few days.
