Sorry if this is a simple question...but I've been searching and reading and really confused. I read the other thread, but found out that Undercover Tourist only has Disneyworld tickets? Here is our situation...
We are staying at GCV Oct 3rd thru the 10th. We have not yet purchased entry tickets to the Park.

We need entry into the park for 8 days (Mom, Dad and 7 & 5 yr old boys)
Are the Deluxe Annual Passports our only option? We don't need the Premium, because there are no blackout dates during our trip. So with the DVC discount $309 for each of us. ($1236)

Disney has a Parkhopper Bonus for $216 and $190 ($812), but only for 6 days...we need 8 days..

ARES Travel doesnt show anything cheaper than the Parkhopper above.

We were going to try and visit Universal Studios one day and Knott's Berry Farm one day..but because both close relatively early, we would still need a pass to get into Disney at night...Thus we need a pass for each day of our stay.
What is our best option to gain entry to Disneyland park for 8 days???
Sorry if this is long...But please help!!!:worship:

Maybe you want to go to Knott's and US on the MHP days, so you would only need DL tickets for 6 days (DL park closes at 6pm on Tuesday and 7pm on Friday.)?

I agree with the previous poster that if you are taking 2 days off, then go with the 6-day PH. You may want to look at getting one AP though for the discounts.

Thanks for the replies....I've been checking the Disney site and they have not posted the park hours for Oct 3-10. We were hoping they would be open until 10pm at least? If we purchase a 6 day admission, can we spilt the days up like that? I though, the pass will start from the first day and run six days in a row consecutive?

They do not have to be consecutive days. Your 6 day hopper would expire 13 days after your first day. So you can split up your days. I would go with the 6 day, and then if you want, you have that extra money to buy tickets to the Halloween party.

During the week, DL usually closes at 8 pm. On Tuesday it'll close at 6 for the party and on Friday at 7pm. DCA will also be open until 8 during the week, but "may" stay open later on Tuesday since DL is will close early...

Weekends will be 11pm/12am close times. (Maybe 10 pm for DCA).

There is no option for a 8 day hopper (anymore). Your best bet is to go back to your hotel room and watch World of Color from your balcony, go listen to the storytelling by the fireplace, go eat at Stroytellers Cafe or Napa Rose, or just hang out in Downtown Disney!

BTW on the DVC Miscellaneous boards I started a thread for people from Hawaii to post so we can see whoelse is from hawaii are DVC owners. So far we only have 3 on the list! You would make it 4 :thumbsup2

ETA.... Oh-Oh-Oh!!! I just thought of something you can do at nights. You are going the 3rd to the 10th. You can go to Mickeys Halloween Party in DCA on the 5th or the 8th. You can buy a ticket to the party for just those nights which is cheap (well cheaper than a full price ticket)! Atleast you could spend the night in DCA without wasting one of your 6 days!

Actually, Mickey's Halloween Party is being held at Disneyland this year.

I would buy a 6 day PH. I think that is enough time to see everything you want to see. I would be too tired to spend a whole day at Universal, then eat dinner and continue to a night in Disneyland as well. Besides, I think Disneyland will probably close by 8 (or earlier if MHP is happening) so that would leave you not much time in the evening.

I just read the ages of your boys. When my boys were your kids ages, they would not have been able to do a full day at a park like Universal with no afternoon break, then spend more time at Disneyland in the evening. I don't think we could do it now even with them being a bit older at 11 and 8.
