DS's first trip to WDW will be NEXT December. He'll be 2 1/2. DH and I have been to WDW 4 times in the past 5 years. Normally, we get a hopper and then have one or two non-park days.

We're not sure what to do for our trip with DS. We'll have 6 FULL days at WDW. We originally were going to get a 5 day hopper and have one full non-park day. DH is worried that DS may not be able to handle a full day at the parks so he wants to have the extra park day available. I lean more towards not needing that extra park day. It will be December so the weather will be cooler. My mom is coming with us so we'll have help with DS. Any advice?

We're heading down in 2 weeks & it'll be our DD"s first time there-they are 4 and 26 months. We will be there 6 full days, but we are only doing the 5 day pass. The way I figure it is we'll be certain to arrive first thing in the morning esp. on early opening days of the parks (shouldn't be too difficult considering my girls wake up waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early anyway (4:30/5am!ACK!) And then take a break in the afternoon at the hotel (nap for the 2 yr old) and then hit the parks again in the evening..... on our "free" day we're actually going to spend the day at Downtown Disney and maybe do a bit of resort hopping/pool time at our hotel and that evening we have MVMCP booked. I figured our "off" day would be best to do the party since the girls hopefully won't be too worn out by evening.... GL with your plans!!!!

Get the park hopper or park hopper plus tix. Do not get the Ultimate park hoppers. Get the number of days that you might possible need max. The unused days never expire, so if you dont use them this time you can next time.

I would go for 5 day hopper plus MVMCP on your off day - but don' t expect to get full days out of your hoppers - you need to accept that you won't be opening and closing the parks.

We generally get an AP (we travel fro 2 x 2 weeks trips in one year, so it is cost effective) and we like the flexibility this offers - we don't have to worry if we only visit a park for 2 hours on a given day - but I realise that for a 6 day trip an AP is not a practical option. Pricewise, I think you are better with the 5 day rather than the UMP even if you 'waste' some of the days with short days

Oh, we wouldn't do a UPH. We'd do a 6-day hopper or 5 day hopper.

Based on the MVMCP dates this year, there won't be a MVMCP during our trip, unfortunately.

DH really wants to have the extra day available, so I think we'll probalby get the 6day hoppers *just in case* and if we don't use it, we'll save them.

We're debating about AP's. Now that I'm officially finished school and have a *real* job, we will be able to go to WDW every year. I think if we can get the money saved for the AP's, we'll probably get them for us. By mom mom will still need a hopper.

Thanks so mucH!

We took our dd for her first trip when she was 1 1/2. She did great! We didn't leave the parks for breaks because we went in Sept. 2001 (the same week as 9/11) so the parks were empty and they closed early. If she got tired, she slept in her stroller without a problem. She was also able to ride more than we expected, and the baby swap was great! My sister was with us and she got to ride everything twice!
