Which ticket would you buy?

Please help? Which way should we go. 10 day non exp or AP? I think the breakeven with AP's and 10 day non exp is 13 days without php and 17 days with php. disney experts, please correct me if I'm wrong. We plan two trips with dining, so we will not use room discounts for those. We plan all together spending 8 park days between the two trips.

As I see it, it breaks down as follows:

DH wants us to buy 10 day, non exp, non ph option: the Advantage here is a cost savings. The AP will cost more then this correct? The second advantage is the extra two days do not expire and can be used for a trip in the future. DH does not want to bound by a timeline. The disadvantage is no PH, which we could live without....

MY way is AP: The AP adds ph for both trips which gives more flexibility, The AP will need 3 more days to breakeven. I could easily plan a third trip..... If we go more then three days we are ahead. I guess this is an advantage for me but DH has a diffrent point of view here. Dh does like to go at free dining. This is the one time he will not give me any arguments. If disney offers it again next year we could plan our trip a week earlier and be ahead without added expense.

I guess we should only do AP if we know we will be doing the 3rd trip within the year correct? Can I get other points of view on this?

I have this website marked but I'm always on these boards. I have to broaden my disney web horizons. Thanks. Oh it says, AP... It will still cost more but I guess the flexibility may be worth it.

Caution: The 13 Magic Your Way days with park hopping or 17 days without park hopping as approximate break even with the annual pass is for Expiring tickets.

Caution: Non-expiration is not a bargain on a 10 day pass when just two days are left over, unless possibly when your next vacation is no for more than three theme park days.

thanks for the hints page. I'm still not sure what to do.

We need the non-exp as I know we will be there twice. The first trip 5 park days and 3 water park days. The second trip will be 3 park days no wp days but perhaps PI. If disney offers free dinning again next year we will probably go which could put a third trip on. This is a big if, since if we purchased AP's they would expire Aug 27. We would need to go before that date. The 10 day would cost less and give us unused park days plus unused wp days.
