Hi all!
Long time no see!

Just a quick Q for a friend.....
Which taxi company would people recomend from CDG to DLP?

Has anyone used Paris Shuttle? There web site seems quite straightforward.

Any help would be much appreciated!!! :goodvibes

i have used bs transport. i am using them again on my next trip. i had no problems with them and they are reasonable enough

:) Thankyou!

Any other recomendations for the same or different?? :confused3

parisshuttle (2 "s") used to have bad reviews on trip advisor (not sure if that is still the case). Parishuttle (1 "s") I've used lots of time - happy to recommend them.

The website I'd used was:
http://www.parishuttle.com/

so only one s. If this is the same one you used it looks like should be ok.

Its just parishuttle is 5 euro each way cheaper than bstransport so with the crap exchange rate would save £10. I just wouldn't like to use a company I'd never heard of :scared:

I have booked to use Parishuttle when we go on 1st feb, it was only 35 euros each way for 1 adult and 2 children. Glad to hear someone else has used it and liked it.

Hi Raci, lovely to hear from you again, shame it's someone else's trip you're helping to plan and not your own though ;)

I was going to suggest RSTransports who've given me the cheapest quote for our upcoming visit, but it's 120 euros for 3 adults and 1 child, looking at the rate Pyebibby quotes, don't think it'll better anything they can quote.

Hope you and Jaci are both well. :goodvibes

Is paris shuttle (one "s") easier to use than VEA? I'm still planning our trip and haven't reserved transfers yet...and neither of us speaks french...

Hi Jill!
We are both ok, TY! Hope you are all good too :)
I haven't dared be on dis for so long because I can't afford to go back at the mo :sad1: and know I couldn't resist if I kept hearing about everyone elses trips. Planning to do a short trip this time next year to buy AP's ready for a longer trip summer '10. So I'll def be back getting all excited soon! :dance3:
Although I think I might be driving my friend insane while she's getting ready :rotfl: She's taking her 3 girls this Sunday and I haven't managed to get her excited yet

But to get back on topic  .........

For 4 people bstransport was 80 euros each way and parishuttle is 75 euros each way for a private taxi. And because of flight times and Sun arrival none of the other transpot options were practical. But 10 euros saved over the return trip makes quite a saving at the moment! :scared1: I can't believe how bad the rate has got since our trips!

Yes - basically as soon as you land and have your bags you give them a ring from a freephone number from any public payphone (or you can ring from your mobile if you want). The ladies who answer all speak english - they just ask for your name and tell you where to go wait for your driver.

The vehicles are badged and pull up wherever you have been told the pick up point will be. The driver will always know your name (you may find there are others that approach your shuttle as they are doing lots of pick ups at the same point but the driver will know who they are there to pick up so if its not your shuttle fear not they will be on their way). And then off you go. We've had drivers who speak a little english and some that speak none but its not an issue. A polite bonjour and merci never goes amiss.

We always tip our driver (I'm not saying you should - tippings a personal preference and just something I chose to do).

There are other transfer companies too but until I experience a bad transfer with parishuttle (or their prices are more expensive than the others) I will stick with them.

Thank you everyone for your recomendations for the taxi and to Raci for asking and doing all my planning!. I will be excited when i get there but i have to stay calm at the moment as the girls dont know we are going.
Thanks again.....Raci's friend.
