I want to book a 14 day trip to WDW next year and would like to take advantage of the free DDP that's on offer.

In the past we have only travelled to Florida with Virgin, but a price for next Sept is coming out at £4500 (after taking off our frequent Virgin discount). I have looked at other operators and they seem to be quite a bit cheaper. AirTours are quoting £3400, First Choice have quoted £2700 but that was without park tickets/DDP as I can't see a place to enter that on their site.

Disney.co.uk have quoted £2000 for accomodation, park tickets and DDP but I would then have to book flights seperately. VA are quoting about £3300 (this is for August as I can't yet get a quote for Sept) just for flights, and BA are quoting a similar amount.

Having only travelled with Virgin in the past, I am concerned that the cheaper operators won't be as good. I'm only really concerned with the flights as the accommodation is the same regardless of the operator.

Does anyone have any experience of other airlines and is there enough difference to justify the extra £1100 that Virgin charge?

There are 4 of us in our party (2 adults and 2 teenagers who will be 16 & 14 by then).

Thanks,
Steve

I can only comment on First Choice, we went with them last year and their 767 planes with 33' leg room are great. Entertainment, meals and crew were fantastic. They fly to sanford rather than MCO, its further away from disney area but from what I've heard you get to your destination in about the same time, as you usually get out of sanford quicker than MCO.

We paid for ddp last year but have booked for Pop Century for aug next year with first choice, 14 day ultimate tickets are priced at 199 ad and 175 ch, we got free dining added on. If you call the web helpline they can price it all up for you at online prices. Just price up your dates and hotel online first then ask what the costings are seperately - our operator was a few hundred pounds over the web price until I queried it and then he got it to what I added it up to!!

We added seating together 60, kids meals should have been 10 each but came through as 0, sanford guest house lounge for return 36, upgrade car to 7 seater 120. The total without car insurance came out at 4135, which I didn't think was too bad in the school holidays with all the extra's and dining included.

I know what you mean about Virgin prices :confused3 If you are not travelling with kids then maybe booking an indirect flight would be a good way to save money, that can knock the airfare in half :cool1: and then book direct with disney for the onsite package. Otherwise First Choice should see you right, they are definately doing free dining. Good luck,

Last year I went with Travel City Direct and they were fantastic BUT lots of people have had delays with them. With the savings we were able to upgrade our seats. Our flights at the end of July were on time and the staff were really friendly.

This next trip we are flying Virgin - Premium Economy, but for 5 flights on 14 December it was £4200, which is alot for just the flights. We tried to book TCD but they were full in the class we wanted and only had economy, which I would never fly as they didn't have seat back TVs.
