Which stroller??

We leave one week from today!!!

I have an almost 2.5 year old. She'll likely walk a lot, and spend time on my dad's shoulders, but she'll definitely need a stroller at times. I'm hoping (wishing?!) she'll even nap in it a couple of days so we don't have to go sit in the hotel room while she naps. But I can't decide which stroller to bring. Here are the two choices, with the pros and cons:

1. Peg Perego, not sure of the model. It's not an umbrella stroller, but it folds up pretty easily and stands up by itself when folded. it can recline all the way flat, has a foot rest that can move up so the whole thing is totally flat for naps. It has pretty decent storage in the basket underneath and a little pouch behind the seat. It has a little snack tray, and a pretty good sunshade. It's a little heavy, but I can get it in and out of my car easily enough, so it's not too bad. Not the greatest wheels (my city elite is a much smoother ride!). Definitely bigger/heavier than the second option...

2. Maclaren Quest (from 2008). I just found it at a children's resale shop for $24. Someone else in the store was also interested, but I was there first, and someone else called on the phone interested while I was there (it had been posted on the store's FB page), so it seemed like quite the hot item, and I grabbed it. It's an umbrella stroller, much smaller and lighter than the PP, but has some definite cons. It reclines somewhat, but not all the way flat, and the footrest doesn't raise up. No snack tray. Not as big of a storage basket underneath, and not as big of a sunshade, although it's not horrible. I haven't used it much yet, but it seems to drive/ride pretty well.

I'm thinking the bigger storage capacity may make the larger/heavier stroller worth bringing, as we're going to need extra clothes, diapers, snacks, water bottles, sweatshirts, etc. and it would be nice not to have a backpack on the whole time. But then again, maybe a smaller, lighter stroller is more preferable for the parks? Thoughts?? Did you bring a smaller stroller and wish you'd brought a bigger one, or vice versa?

Thanks for any advice!

I would bring the one that is most comfortable for her with the better sunshade.both of my boys spent more time in the stroller than we thought they would and they both napped in it.

My son is 4 and was out of a stroller for over a year before we went in June, we rented the City for the week and loved it! I don't think my husband or I would have been as comfortable pushing our Macleran around as we were the City. It was so easy to push and handle that I was able to put my 10 year old in it on the last night and easily maneuvered it down Main Street to the bus stop after the fireworks while she slept (she is not small for her age either). We had Maclerans for both kids and they were great but having used the City rental I don't think they would have worked out as well for us. And be sure to grab a rain cover for whatever you use, they are life savers :)

You said your city elite has smoother ride.

If you have one of those, that's what I'd go with!! They are great disney strollers!

City elite! We have the double from a few years ago and it is so easy to push. Dh is the designated pusher and he does ten to twelve hours without complaint.

But here's the thing... How do I travel with the city elite?? It doesn't seem to be the right stroller for gate-checking, or checking at all, for that matter, since it doesn't stay folded up very easily. For people who used a city elite at Disney, did you bring it with you or rent it? I wasn't even considering bringing that one because of the issue with flying!

Brought it with us. Gate checked it. Used one of the red travel bags (available on bru, target etc). Dh in a over abundance of caution use bungee cords to insure it stayed close in the bag.
It was well worth it and we have the double!

We checked our city mini gt the other day. Used one of the red gate check bags (forget the brand, but you can buy it on amazon, at BRU, etc) and it worked beautifully. If you're staying on site and taking boats or buses, I have to say the easy folding of the baby jogger strollers is SO nice. I also second all the other commenters who said easy handling and a sun shade are important. If you're happy with how your umbrellas fold and handle, though, I think they'd be great too. I say bring what you and your kid feel most comfortable with.
