Which stroller would you buy???

Very cute stroller!!!:D

I don't know anything about the Combi strollers, but I bought a Maclaren Triumph, I think I paid around $149 for it and I LOVE it!!!

I wanted one for our Disney trip so I bought it early to "put some miles" on it before we went to make sure I liked it and I love it!!!!

It came with a basket, a shoulder strap so when it's folded up you can carry it on your shoulder, and a rain cover.

I think you can get them for less money on the internet at strollers4less.com. I bought mine at Babies R Us because I wanted to be able to return it easily if I didn't like it.

HTH! :D

I have a MacLaren (older model but simular to Triumph) but just bought a Peg Perego Pliko P3 for my DD 18 months-she wasn't crazy about the MacLaren. I paid $189 for a 2003 model but it is now up to $229 as the stock is getting low -2004 model is $269 on line.

You really can't beat the $99 price. Here's what Pliko has over Combi:
*5 point harness vs 3 and the design is unique in that you put the child in with the harness attached to the seat but then you can release it from the seat back so child has freedom of movement but still have the safety of 5 point harness

*stands alone when folded

*folds umbrella style so easier to use with busses

*has a snack tray in front

*has a running board for toddler in back (I've got 3 kids 5 & under)

*height adjustable handles

Pros of Combi
*PRICE

*has a bigger basket

*comes with a stroller pack

Good luck. Finding the perfect Disney stroller is a never ending quest.

and love it! It's a full size rather than an ultra lite like this one, but it has been through 4 years of rough usage and 2 kids and still handles very well. For that price you cannot beat it!

I just got a volo for disney which I love but my DD is already 5yr old. I tried the Combi a few years ago and it seemed that the seat was very narrow and I decided that I would not get a lot of use out of it as my Dd was already almost 3. For 3 mos it seems neat. Though if you are like me (and others on this board lol)you will have several several strollers by the time she is older. Other than the narrowness it seemed great.

I actually bought that exact stroller for my then 2 year old dd a few months back. I took it out once, and the SOLD it on ebay! I am a stroller junkie, and this is the worst one I ever owned!! Even worse than the Evenflo, and that is saying alot! Now, that being said, my dd was not 3 months old when I bought it, she was a small 2 year old. This stroller was sooo flimsey (sp) feeling, I thought it was going to wobble apart while I was pushing it!!

My advise to you would be to not buy it. Even if it works for you now, this stroller would not last long! You definatly need a stroller with recline, I would suggest investing in a Maclaren Quest maybe, really any Maclaren that reclines. Or a Silver Cross Mini. The Peg Perego P3 is good too, just more expensive. The Quest is closes to $200 and the Mini is about $150. Any of those strollers will be a good investment for a 3 month old baby, you will get years of hard use out of them. I just really don't think you would be happy with the Combi long term.

Hope this helps!

:cheer2:

Have fun at Disney!

i would suggest buying an older peg perego pliko on ebay ::yes:: . for a baby that young you really need a 'plush' stroller and you're not going to get that with a maclaren.

you can get a brand new '02 model for less than $100

this seller is reputable and has a b&m store in new york called 'albee baby'. this auction is ending soon but he has them listed all the time.

WOW thats a great price. I purchased a 2003 Pliko from Albee Baby just a few weeks ago for $189. Now they are $229. I have seen online that you can purchase the new trays for the Pliko stroller so you could probably get that rather than just the bar on this one. My DD LOVES the Pliko and she looks very comfy in it. She's been fighting taking any naps lately but will fall asleep in her Pliko. She really hated the double MacLaren-didn't want to share her space with an older sibling and she only tolerates the single Maclaren (I think this is the perfect Disney stroller for a 3+ year old). She really seems to enjoy the Pliko-she loves to be able sit up straight and see all thats going on around her.

Thanks for the link and info.

Funny thing--I just explored on ebay and was going to ask about the older model PP since it is so much cheaper.

The fabric isn't as "cute", but I can live with that :)

Thank you for all of your help.

DH will not believe I'm ordering another stroller--we have a jogger, a travel system that is too bulky for everyday or disney use, a double, and a couple of combi's, and a push car thing. DD is our 3rd child, first girl!

I think she deserves a new one!

Too funny! My Pliko is my 5th stroller....and my DD is my 3rd also to older sis & bro but she's my last so she deserves the best! I'm not sure what the differences are between 2002 and 03/04 other than the front bar. I can't tell from the photo if the 5 point harness is the same and the description does not mention if it has a carry handle. I could live without those for the $100 savings but if you find the same supplier on Ebay they've got a phone number in the ad and when I called Albee to ask about differences in 03 vs 04 they couldn't have been nicer or more knowledgable.

Gina-I'm taking just the Pliko for my will be 21 month old and plan on renting in the parks for my 5 1/2 & nearly 4 year olds. We also plan on taking afternoon breaks and the Pliko does have a running board for a 2nd child so if need be to get back to the resort someone can carry the baby and the 2 older kids can ride. Disney currently is offering multi day stroller rentals which gives a small break on price but more importantly reduces the need to wait in line day after day.

Hey Crazywig! I'm a stroller nut too! I belong to several of the strollers boards also. Are you a SWAP member? If not, you should be! LOL!
I only have 6 right now, for my 3 year old. I decided it was time to cut down a few :(

Hi we have the combi travel savy dx and really like it. It has served us well for 3 wdw trips and one to Vero Beach (not to mention countless other outings and such.) DD calls it her Diseny World stroller, and it is the one thing she won't share with her newborn sister. (hence my double stroller quest, but that is another story altogether.)

We like it over a MacLaren because it has a bar with cup holders on it that the child can remove and get in and our on her own. It is light, folds up well, and stands by its self once folded. It folds as small as an umbrells stroller and I fell easier (but then again I am used to it.)

The basket underneth is useless, too small, can't reach it and have to get everything out to fold anyway. It is a bit wobbly, but they say that is planed, I never seemed to mind it.

I have friends who bought the same one for a wdw trip with us last year. They never seemed to fold it all the way up, and it just didn't work as well for them. It has been great for us. Also their son is taller and would put his feet on the whelles.

Everyone has been so positive about the Pliko that I went and tried it. I know it is a "lightweight", but I am so used to my SnapNGo that I couldn't get used to the thought of 15 lbs. But, I saw the Aria - the next step down from the Pliko. I loved it. It only weighs 9lbs and folds down to 10 inches and has a carry handle. The sun shade is small - knew that from epinions reviews so I will probably fashion something or buy a larger sunshade, but I couldn't beat $169 for 10 days with my little peanut who will only be 5 months. If I had a larger child, I probably would bypass the Aria (it is lighter weight and might not take the beating as well), but my little one has serious feeding issues and probably will for sometime, so his skinny lil rear end looked quite snug and comfy. It doesn't recline completely flat, but his reflux is so serious he can't lay flat anyway. I didn't want to confine him to the car seat with the SnapNGo and we couldn't use the park strollers for one so small - so I hope this works out great for us.

Also wanted to mention I saw a lower end Combi stroller in Duncan Plaid at BigLots for $49.99 along with a lightweight Saftey1st for $40.00.
