Which stroller to use at WDW?

I bought a stroller similar to the one mentioned above, Combi Savvy. I got the deluxe version though from eBay for $99. It works great. It fully reclines for DS and he has already spent hours in it at parties that we've been to recently. That's what we'll be bringing.

From experience, the big one on the busses is a PAIN. We did it with DD and hated it. We ended up hating it and either carrying her or renting a stroller at the parks.

Don't know about the car seat/bus situation. But, I don't think there would be time or room to strap it in and take it out. Things move pretty quickly on the busses and we'll be there at peak time. I can't even remember if there are seat belts on the busses.

There are definitely no seatbelts on the buss. The combi is a good choice. I think there are some Macclaren that start at 3 months. I think I will just take my Peg Perego Aria. It says not until 6 mths, but I tend to have big babies (if this one ever comes out...we are a week past due). He will be 4 mths old on our next trip.

Good luck.

First are you driving or flying? Will you have storage for the stroller while on the cruise? The reason I ask is that we cruised last year with dd who was then 2. I have always taken my large stroller on our previous trips to WDW, but knew I would not have room for it on the cruise. The cruise line (I assume you are going on the Wonder) have strollers for free. You just put down a deposit on your room key and they reverse it when you bring the stroller back. You can keep it in your room the entire length of your stay onboard. You are allowed to take the strollers off the ship at the ports as well. When we were on the Magic in November this is what we did and got a very nice Graco Ultra light stroller. It was new. They also informed me they had more than enough as the room was full of them. It was just like my large graco travel system stroller but smaller, it did recline, had the storage underneath and had cup holds and the canopy.

If you are driving and have a place to store your stroller while on the cruise, I would recommend the easiest one for you to fold and use. If you aren't going to have a place to store it, go with the smallest one possible.

This is the link to the stroller I just bought for our next trip to WDW in Sept. DD is now 3 and we really didn't want to have to deal with folding up that big stroller again. This doesn't have the cup holders but does have the canopy and the storage basket.

Have a great time!

Edited to add: If your not going to have space to store your stroller while on the cruise how about rent a stroller at Disney for the 5 days your there and then just use the stroller on the ship that is provided?

We are flying. I don't see why there wouldn't be room for the stroller in the cabin?

I'm still confused what to do. I am going to go shopping today and look at strollers again. Since we fly out in 4 days there is no time for something to arrive from the internet.

I was especially thinking the stoller would be good for the resort. Plus, it would be handy to be able to insert his carseat in and you can't do that on lighter ones.

What do they rent at DW?

I jsut bought a Combi from Target for $69.99 (they are on their website) - it is amazing. It folds easily and is SO lightweight. I went on a trip to Boston with just my DS and it was SO easy to handle on my own - I couldn't imagine trying to navigate my huge Graco on my own. The Combi that I have has a partial recline, storage basket, and a canopy. It is a GREAT little stroller and I would 100% recommend that you take your toddler stroller vs. the huge travel system.

Any suggestions from readers if we should haul the big stroller or go shopping for a lighter one and if so what brand?

I have to give my 2 cents...I am a mom of 4 girls.....the last trip we took, my 3rd daughter was 11 months.....We bought a small easy to fold up stoller (I think made by Graco) It had a canopy and underneath storage, but it was really just a sturdier version of an umbrella stroller. You have to fold that puppy up over and over and over and over and over again! ( I think we only paid around 30 bucks for it at Walmart....You may also want to check One Step Ahead (www.onestepahead.com) ....they have these wheely things that attach to the back of stollers for older kids. (don't know the cost or your budget?) Also, whatever you use, use it now when you go shopping or walking so he gets used to it.....

Also to answer your question about the carseat of the bus.....not necessary unless you need it for feeding in the park....the buses are standing room only so you may be standing with it....(no seatbelts)

Hope this helps

They rent the hard plastic type (except AK...think those are like umbrella type if I remember)...probably not the best for babies who can't sit up yet...although we did rent for the older 2 and they were fine (12-15 bucks a day and you can pay for your stay...you get a ticket of some sort...can't remember exactly...and you can switch from park to park if you are park hopping...they just give you a voucher and you turn it in at the next park) That may not be a bad idea for you since you have an older child who will be tired of walking.

I found this on Target's website...if you have one nearby...this is similar to what I took...it's cheap and a sinch to fold...plus has a canopy and storage.....You'll probably need to copy and paste

Don't forget to get the rain cover for the stroller also (bought it at Walmart) It rains of course every day.....

I think this one is for a jogging stroller, but I know they have them for regular ones also..... :goodvibes

The new Peg Perego Aria (although not cheap...on sale at babies r us for $189) accepts most infant carseat cariers and weighs about 11-12 lbs. It has a partial recline and a basket. Also the Snap and Go by Baby Trend is a lightweight frame that accepts most infant carriers and folds up quickly. It has a basket and parent tray, but cannot be used as a stroller with out the carrier. It sells for about $50 actually $40 at BRU with the sale coupon.

Good luck to you.

I just got in from shopping and bought a Savvi Combo Soho Sport. Now I think I made a mistake. When I looked it up just now on a website (BABYCENTER) it says 6months and up. Now I'm worried he won't be comfy. :sad2:

The Combi names are confusing! It does look like the one you got doesn't have a full recline, but this one
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...ef=sr_1_3/102-7119287-2676166?v=glance&s=baby
with a similar name, goes pretty flat.

I hope you can figure it out in time!

You can also see all the combi strollers here
http://www.combistrollers.com/index.htm

If you're still looking, it is only the savvy soho DX that has the recline (155) for infants.

That's the one I got on ebay for $99. Love it! Plus, it's big enough to hold DD, if necessary.

I guess I blew it. I should have gotten the deluxe version. I went to Baby Depot and they were having a going out of business sale so they were picked over. The Soho Sport was the only one by the Combi brand I saw.

It also has no returns or exhanges due to the circumstances.

On the up side, I got the stroller which is 99 full price retail for only 34 dollars.

Now I don't know if I should just go ahead and bring my full travel system by Graco anyway. It is handy that we can put the car seat in it and I already know he loves it.

Do you think the partial recline is enough for him to be comfy? He is so tiny. It says 6 months and up and he is about the size of a 2 month old even though he is almost 5 months.

:(

I blew it. Darn it. THANKS for the advice.
