Which stroller to bring?

Hi everyone! We are driving down the first week of Oct., and my husband and I are back and forth about which stroller to bring. Our girls are 7, 5, and 3. We have a double stroller, but it takes up a lot of room in our van. We'd probably be able to fit it, but it would be a very tight squeeze. We could also bring our umbrella stroller, but then my 5 year old would have to walk most of the time, and I'm not sure how she'd do with that. Or we could just rent at stroller, but then we wouldn't have it going to a from our resort to the parks (staying at the Contemporary). Plus renting a stoller for 7 days will add up. What ages do you guys typically stop using strollers for your kids at Disney? Do you think my 5 year old would be ok? Thanks!

Trying to remember but I think I was still hauling the double at 3 & 5. I never rented there but it seems really expensive, plus, as you say you wouldn't have it at the resort. Our double was the big Graco "cadillac" one, front to back, fully reclining for both of them. Sucker weighed 30# but was so worth it with a cranky kid. Plus, it's great to haul your junk :) Face it, you're going to have to stand in that bag check line anyway, you might as well be able to take advantage of the "here, let me open this gate for you" at the turnstile! Good luck. There are times I wish I still had a stroller, for me! :rotfl:

We dragged our Graco Duo-Glider last year when the kids were 2 & 4 & plan to drag it back again this year. My DS definitely couldn't walk the whole time & it will be tough for DD5 although she's got great stamina.

It was so nice being able to keep them in the stroller during big crowds, great for lugging water bottles & cameras underneath & not a terrible pain to load on the buses (that was the worst part but well worth the effort). Definitely beats hearing them argue because one wants to sit & the other doesn't want to get up! The family board has lots of stroller discussion if you're looking for all possible options. 2 umbrella strollers that can connect is one I've seen.

Bring a stroller that is something happens to it, you won't be devastated. I have seen too many people loose, misplace and even (yes, it happens) have their strollers taken. Don't bring something that is irreplaceable, costs a lot of money, or has sentimental value.
