which SSR sections have been refurb?

We are leaving for our 6 night stay at SSR in less than 2 weeks and are able to check in online this week. I am tossing between grandstand and springs section. with me will be my husband, 14 month old son, and my parents. I like the springs for being close to the main pool and food. However, I like the splash area in the grandstand. If staying in the Grandstand, how far of a walk is it to the food in the main building? Also, when doing online checkin, I know you can request certain sections, can you also request things like close to the elevator or pool?

Lastly, has either the Grandstand section or springs been refurb yet? That could be a deciding factor too?

I know that Congress Park was being worked on in May when we were there. I would guess that it is completed now.

As far as the summer goes they,had,just finished Congress Park and were halfway through The Springs.

We just got back from SSR. We stayed in the Grandstands, room 8530, the room had not be refurbed.
This was a great location, we were just a few steps from the pool and not far from the bus stop or the main building.
After I booked my stay, I called MS and requested the Grandstand section, when I checked in online I requested to be close to the pool.
I was talking to a CM who said that if you like the Granstand section and want to be close to the pool and the main building the best buildings to request are 85 and 81.

Congress Park is finished. Not sure if Springs is finished or not but that was the plan, They should be working on Paddocks now.

We were in the Paddock section in August and none of the rooms had been remodeled. In fact they were washing the current bedspreads and placing them back on the beds. Since they are halfway through the Springs either the Paddock or Grandstand are next. I guess because of the reupholstering of the pull out couches it takes longer to replace the soft goods.

Just got back on Saturday from SSR (The Paddock). Sorry to say that it has not been refurbished. I felt like I was staying in a cheap motel. Extremely worn out interior. Once the refurb is done however, it will be great.

I have requested the Paddocks for my stay during marathon weekend in January. It seems like the schedule allows about one month per building. If this is correct, what are my chances of staying in a refurbished room if I requested 4501-4836? I'm bringing my mom and she's a total clean freak. Do you think they'll start from the left or the right of the paddocks?

Just got back from SSR yesterday. Congress Park is finished and they are working on the Paddock now. We could see the trucks and workers from the Congress Park bus stop.
