So I finally narrowed down the choices for spa treatments for myself, my DD and my DDIL (did I just make that one up? meaning dear daughter in law) to massages for all of us, mani/pedi for two and facial for 1. This will be a first for all of us so I want it to be extra special.

Which spa would you recommend?

Hi. I would recommend the GF Spa. It also happens to be the only one on your list that I've been to. But I have been there a LOT;)

One thing that would influence me, though, is my resort choice. Where will you be staying? If you're staying at SSR then I would go to their spa. (Also, it is a newer facility and I have heard great things about it :thumbsup2 ) If you're staying at any of the Epcot resorts I would say go ahead and enjoy the Mandara spa. (I have heard really rave reviews of it as well.)

If you're staying at the Poly or GF, by all means enjoy your treatments over at the GF Spa. For starters, you can walk over! Also, I have always, always had very good massage therapists and nail techs there. I have had one facial and it was EXCELLENT. That was back when they used Jurlique products, which I adore :cloud9: I have had a body scrub that was nice. Never had any of the water therapies.. But for massage it is great. It's a nice-sized facility. The lounge is nice and the showers and bathroom area were recently refurbished. The spa is definitely pricey but if you're a Passholder you get 10% one treatment per visit.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the 3 you've listed. Good luck!princess:

All WDW spas have the same owner. Choose the one with the location you prefer.

I've had treatments at all three and if I had to choose, it would be the GF.

Have fun!

Kathy

Mandara Spa is not owned by Disney (nor is the Dolphin hotel). And in fact I have been told by two people who work at the GF Spa that it (the GF Spa) is actually owned by Disney but run by Niki Bryan and that the spa at SSR is owned and run by Niki Bryan. I'm not 100% this is accurate but that's what I've been told.

I agree that SSR and GF Spas will be similar but Mandara will be a completely different experience.

One difference b/w GF and SSR is that the lounge where you wait for your therapist is coed at SSR. This makes some people uncomfortable. At GF women and men have separate lounges:thumbsup2
