Which snack option would you suggest for...

We are going to be on the dining plan. We always end up with so many snack options leftover and are making the made dash to the food court to get snacks to go. We would like to use our snack option for a quick/small breakfast. We normally eat lunch on the earlier side so just want something in the am to tied us over. If we are in a park the prior day, should we pick up a snack and will it keep until the next morning. Go to a park and get something early? We normally bring some cereal bars or something like that but would love to use up these snacks.
Suggestions please.
Thanks again

Last year we picked up a couple of cinnamon rolls at Main Street Bakery on our way out of MK for breakfast the next day ... YUM! We stayed at BW and they also had a small area that we could use a snack point to get a muffin, bagel, etc that was a quick breakfast on the way to the bus stop. You could also pick up fruit at a million places but it kind of seems like a waste of a point to use it on a banana or apple.

The year we stayed at POP we say a box of 6 Edelmans (sp) donuts for 1 snack credit. These were full size donuts, not the small size! We also don't usually "buy breakfast" and do the cereal bar room thing. If your a sweet eater like me, buy a snack fromt he park the night before, keep it in your fridge and breakfast is served!

Main Street Bakery has yummy baked good you can use for a snack credit like cinnimon rolls, fresh baked I believe!

I also agree with Main Street Bakery....we used some of our snack credits one early morning for cinnamon rolls and chocolate milk for breakfast!!:thumbsup2

Another GREAT option that we LOVE is using our snack credits at Goofy's Candy Co in DTD. We did the make your own candy thing (where you fill out the form and they make it for you)....we absolutely LOVE the chocolate covered pretzel rods!!

Agree with MK Bakery but the make your own candy is no longer a snack credit. :headache: You can use a snack credit at the food court or CS in your resort for a bagel, muffin, fruit cup, parfait (my personal fave), etc. In the parks, we love to use a snack credit for a sweet cream cheese filled pretzel (kinda like a bagel with cream cheese, right?:lmao:) which you can get at MK in Tomorrowland or something similar in Norway @ Epcot.

We did like that box of donuts but Dinsey for the last 2 years doesn't allow that deal anymore :sad2:, (that was just to good of a deal) so we usually get a hot cinnimun bun or blueberry muffin at the POP food court. We do have to try the Mainstreet Bakery for the Cinnimon bun.

Thank you for all of the ideas.
We are staying at the coronado springs and will check out a menu. Maybe they have some bagels/muffins there. I really like the idea of a cinnamon roll in the magic kingdom.
Thanks again

Schoolbread from Norway in Epcot makes for a yummy breakfast the next morning. If you happen to be at the Boardwalk in the evening, their bakery has some tasty treats.

I want to try Kusafiri bakery at the Animal Kingdom next trip. I think my kids will go crazy for their cupcakes.

Main Street Bakery and Norway have been mentioned by other posters but I also like to get pastries from France in Epcot the evening before. So right before Illuminations, I grab a bunch of pastries (even the ham & cheese croissant is a snack credit) for the next morning. We usually buy a big thing of milk & OJ too and fresh fruit for the room so that makes it enough of a meal for us!

And while they aren't on the meal plan, I like to get the hot mini-donuts at the waterparks when I get there - melt in your mouth yummy!!!

we usually buy scrumptious bakery items at Boulangerie Patisserie (France/Epcot) or Kringla Bakeri(Norway/Epcot) or Main Street Bakery/Magic Kingdom as we are leaving the park...either for a mid-day break or leaving for the night. If you leave for a mid-day break, that's the best time to get your bakery items, though, because at park closing sometimes these bakeries are jam-packed with people getting snacks before leaving...and they may sell out of items or be serving less-fresh items as they clear out the cases for the night. We keep the bakery goodies in the room & have them for breakfast the next day (make coffee in the room or get refillable mugs beverage from the food court.) Most resorts we've stayed at also have fresh bakery items at the food court/counter service...at least in the morning.

One suggestion, if you plan to save items overnight...take several large ziplock bags with you, and put the bakery foam box or bag inside the ziplock bags to keep your pastries fresh overnight. We've found that the to-go containers are not air-tight and stale goodies are not so good the next day.

Earl of Sandwich has really good muffins that are a great size for breakfast that can be used as snack credits. They have chocolate chip, blueberry, cranberry, banana~
