Ok! I have tried SOO many sippy cups and they all leak somewhere.

Which Sippy Cup do you have that do not leak?

Take care:cutie:

We've used 'the first years' sippy cups for a couple of years now. They generally don't leak. I have one that has a bad lid but other than that, I feel pretty confident letting DS take them to the living room and not having a problem. I hope this helps...

PS - they come with lots of designs...we have 'Cars', Elmo, Thomas, Nemo

Nuby cups! They are the only ones my DS would use & the only ones that didn't leak all the time.

I cannot find the name of the sippy cups that I use but they are from babies r us. I think they are the store brand. They come in solid colors (red, blue, green, and purple) They have no writing on them. Anyway, I have gotten rid of every other cup in my cabinet. These do not leak at all. Sorry I couldn't be more specific but there's nothing written on the cup for me to go by!:confused3

I've loved the Munchkin brand since my first was a year old. The valves don't leak at all, but after about a year, the seal between the lid and the cup starts to go. But you will get you $6 worth after that long!

Yea, I too have tried just about every brand, and after a while they all start leaking. I tend to buy the platex, throw them out after a few months (3-4) and buy new ones. It seems to help.... a little! They seem to leak the least for me anyway...as long as they are fairly new.

I second the First Years sippy cups. I have bought all brands and these are the only ones that don't leak at all. I have had mine for well over a year and they go in the dishwasher every night and they still look new!!
It is the first years regular cup and they usually are in character designs like mine are Thomas the Train ones.
Best one in my book!!!

I am another one that has to go with the first year ones too. We have 6 of them (for about a year now) and they don't leak at all. Unless I don't have the lid screwed on properly. I also like them because my 4 year old can use them (because I'm paranoid of spills in the living room) and he doesn't feel like a baby. He usually uses a regular cup unless he wants to drink on my carpet.

But, when they were little, I did like the Playtex ones with the winged handles. Those never leaked and were thrown on a minute by minute basis!

We liked the $1 Munchkin cups sold at Target. DS really only used sippy cups for about 6 months - and then switched to the straw cups, but these were great. If you use the valve, then even when he'd flip them over, no leaks. Without the valve, they would leak some when flipped.

I used Avent sippy cups and they did not leak. I you have Avent baby bottles, you can buy a sippy cup attachment to them or just buy the cups. I bought mine online but I know TRU and Target carry them. What I also like about them is that they have handles which make holding easier and you can buy a beginner sippy cup that is a slow flow and a faster one that helps transition into a cup.

We like the Playtex sippy cups. As long as the valves are firmly in, they don't leak unless shaken violently while they are upside down (and then they only drip a few drops at a time). We have the double handled ones, the regular ones, and the Sipster (which looks like an adult travel mug). I think the Sipsters are cool (I want one for me)... The sipsters say for ages 2 and up, but my 17 month old doesn't have any problem using them. The Playtex ones also are easy enough for them to actually get a drink from--some of the ones with valves are so hard to actually get liquid out of the kids have to suck until they are practically blue to get anything.

I have a different problem. When I find one that does not leak (much), they seem to crack! Even if we've only had them a few weeks. DD will throw it onto the ground and it will split down the side and I'll have a mess on my hands. We've had Nuby, First Years, and Playtex do this.

So if my kids want drinks in the living room.....it can only be water in a sippy cup. Except for my four year old. I let her drink her morning chocolate milk in a straw sippy as long as she's careful.

I think I have tried them all too.

First Years are the only ones that do not leak for us either. We just bought 2 new Mickey Mouse ones yesterday.

Be careful about the soft-tipped cups like the Nubys. My Pediatrician gave me a lecture because they weren't any different than bottles and damage teeth. :headache:

My guys really abuse the cups and the ones that work for us are the Playtex insulated cups that look more like a travel coffee cup. They really never leak. And they keep the liquid cold a loooong time!

The First Years cups leak incessantly for us. All of them all the time. I won't give them those when they are out in the living room.

The barbell-shaped cups from Gerber. I have some that are 8 years old and they still don't leak.

The only ones I have found that are sturdy and leak less (as mentioned they all leak when shaken hard enough) are the nalgene sippy cups. They are a little more expensive but last forever and the valves are replaceable. DS threw one out the window on the highway. DH insisted that we pick it up and other than a few scratches it was fine.
We also use the camelback straw water bottles, they are also very tough and don't leak unless you are making big altitude changes.
Good Luck!

I like first years and they have disney themes. I don't have to worry about the little plug thing inside falling off or getting lost in the dishwasher - never had a leaking problem with them.
