Which side of ship is best?

I was on the right (starboard) side and noticed that this side of the ship was not in the direct sunlight on the cruise and was not nearly as warm as the other side.

The ship also backed into ports, so we got the benefot of seeing where we were docked as well.

As I never noticed any difference in the warmth/coolness of our rooms I can't say for sure which side would be warmer. They all seemed the same to me.

As far as which side for docking - as I said we've been on both sides - different sides the first two sailings - & still faced CC beach both times. Last time (3rd trip) we didn't, but as my husband pointed out to me, we had been on that same side of the ship the time before when we WERE.

We asked about this on our last trip & were told that the way the ship docks depends on the sea & weather conditions & the Captain's 'mood' that day.

Any side you are on, seriously, I dont think it matters all that much.

To me, it doesn't matter all that much...I do have a preference for starboard, but only because that's where my favorite stateroom (5650) is located, so it's the side I'm used to. But hubby has a major preference for starboard because of the view at Castaway Cay when the ship backs in. The view in Nassau is also pretty (it's on the other side from downtown, so you see Atlantis and a row of houses) until the other ships start pulling in.

I've been both Port and Starboard and definitely prefer Port.

ANY side of the ship is fine with me, give me the middle, I don't care, as long as I am some where on that ship

I vote starboard. Not only the best view of CC, but also St. Thomas for the Eastern; on the Western, view of ocean and mainland Yucatan Peninsula at Cozumel, and of the town at Key West.

On the Wonder, we had a great view of the Paradise Island hotel and ocean on Starboard.

Like Barb (inkognito) I'm also a big fan of deck 5, Aft.
