I don't like the manic rollarcoaster or rides that spin but I am hoping that there is still plenty for me to try at WDW, I think I shall be going on Thunder Mountain and if I can summon the courage I would love to go on Splash Mountain. What would you avoid if you were me?

If I were you I would'nt go on the mad tea party(tea cups), Body Wars or Star Tours. Mission space either. :earseek: :rotfl:

Avoid Mission Space Cazzie as the feeling of G force is a very weird feeling. Not long now you lucky thing - have a great holiday. :cloud9: :wave2:

Please do Splash Mountain, it is the best ride in the park. There is a load of lovely themeing inside the mountain and the drop is over in an instant. I was nervous too when I first went on it but believe me it would be a great shame to miss it.

I would go on Rocky Railroad too. It is just on a track that stays in the same position ie it doesn't go upside down or anything. It is a bit jerky and goes fairly fast in places but is no way like the rollers at IoA which take rollercoasters to another level. I have never been a fan of rollercoasters but could manage Rocky Railroad fine.

I also managed the rollercoasters at IoA too, thought it was a shame to go to IoA and not try them. Surprisingly I found them not as bad as I thought they would be.

Buzz Lightyear involves some spinning around as you hit aliens with laser guns but if memory serves me right you control the spinning. Teacups should be avoided if you don't like spinning.

Mission Space spins very fast. Some people have said they don't realise they are spinning others have said they do. I have not been on it yet to comment but if you read some reviews of the ride they may give you an idea if it would be suitable for you or not.

I wouldn't really worry about not liking rollercoasters or spinning, there are loads and loads of things to do and you will have a whale of a time. The first time you go is always the best because everything is new to you and it is very magical. There is simply nothing to match the standards you will experience in Orlando in this country - prepare to be stunned.

Splash mountain is great so I would go for that. There's only one drop and if you shut your eyes it's not bad.

Space mountain is not a big rollercoaster but I find it a bit jerky. Avoid the tea cups and the Enchanted Tiki rooms as both will make you feel ill :rotfl:

The only simulator ride that gets to me is Back to the Future - especially if I'm in the back seat.

The IOA rollercoaster dont make me feel ill - just terrified.

Each ride effects people in different ways.

I've never tried Mission Space (roll on end of May), but in the past only Body Wars has made me feel sick.

The only two rides I have avoided in the past are Splash Mountain as the once I did ride it I hyperventilated so much I couldn't feel my arms for about half an hour afterwards...I HATE drops... and that is a MEGA DROP, also Space Mountain for the same reason, though I have done that at DLP and loathed it. I'm not going to ride Mission Space as I don't do well on spins either. But Body Wars, Star Tours and Back to the Future are no problem for me, and Big Thunder Mountain is my all time favourite.

I would definately consider Splash as the only "thrill" aspect of it is the big drop ( which you can see from outside the ride) , IMHO the rest of the ride is worth the drop, even if that aspect is one that you don't like. IMHO it's a "MUST TRY" once to see if you feel the drop is worth the pay off on the rest of the ride.

Space Mountain for the same reason, though I have done that at DLP and loathed it.
Space mountain at DLP is VERY different to the one at WDW, the WDW one is MUCH tamer and while the feeling of speed is built up by the lack of visual clues ( the ride is in almost pitch darkness) the ride itself isn't that harsh. There are no inversions, although you do get a number of smaller drops. I would doubt that SM at WDW is very much different from BTM (speed, turns, height and #of drops) at WDW in the actual ride aspects of it, other than SM is in the dark.

I would definately avoid the teacups and mission space might be a risky choice, although I didn't feel like I was spinning so much as being shot out of a cannon when I went on it LOL.

Agree with everyone so far. I'm obviously like you in that I cannot spin and go on to enjoy the rest of the day, but Splash Mountain is a must do. The theming has that "feel good factor" that everyone should experience. Space Mountain is borderline in my experience so do it once maybe to see how you feel. Actually Rockn'RollerCoaster I would put in the same bracket, even to say you've done it. Yes there are inversions etc but it's over so quickly there have been disboarders posting here who haven't even realised they've been upside down. It certainly produced that "buzz" for me and I had to do it again - but not neccessarily straightaway ;) I suggest. Another ride, this time at IOA is Spiderman - Wow! Brilliantly themed but with one enormous drop - but because it is a simulated ride (albeit with movement and lots of sensational special effects) you could always close your eyes as you're dropped from the top of the skyscraper!!!! :rolleyes1 Again IMO one not to be missed. Even Granny did this one and loved it.

Finally, if you are not happy about coasters, there is so much else to do anyway that your enjoyment will still be complete I can guarantee. Prepare for the holiday that you've always dreamed of. (I'm getting a tingle just thinking about it - roll on July for us).

Hi

If you don't like spinning rides I should stay away from Triceratops Spins at AK also.
