Calling tomorrow to book a week for a 1 bedroom in August at SSR. With 2 little kids, ds(5) and dd(7) we want something close to the Artist's Palette & the pool are if possible. Which section should I request? TIA

The Springs section is closest to AP and the pool. But you are better off requesting "near main pool and Artist's Palate" than requesting "Springs".

I would reccommend the Grandstand section. A short walk to Artist Palette, a themed quiet pool with squirting horses and the first bus stop.

I suggest the Grandstand. It is a very short walk to the main pool and Artists Pallete. It has it's own themed pool that should be good for your kids. A snack bar is also at the pool with a refillable mug station if you get those. Grandstand is also the first bus stop which with younger children, should be a big plus. The Springs is closer, but it is also the last bus stop so your choice of seating or even getting on the bus can be limited. Request next to the Grandstand pool.

We just got back last night from a stay at SSR. I have two small boys DS2 and DS5 and we stayed in the Paddock Section right near the bridge. There was a playground and pool right outside our door and a short walk to the main pool and restaurant.

Hi,

we were there in October for the first and requested the Grandstand section. I really liked it as we nearly always had the pool to ourselves and our one year old loved the water play area. A few mins walk to eat and first on / first off the bus.

As Disneywalker44 suggested, don't request a specific section. Instead simply state your preference to be near the main pool and artist palette. That tells the room assigner what's important to you. Requesting a particular section may get you that section, but in a room that isn't as close as you would like.
