I am sure this has been asked many times before but I cannot seem to find the info I require.Five of us (all adults) will be off to Orlando in September flying Virgin from Gatwick. It is coming up to the time when we can book our seats. We want what most people want and that is as much leg room as possible and not too near the toilets.I know we cannot book the Exit seats or Bulkhead ones as they are for passengers with babies so what ones should I go for?

Thanks

As there are 5 in your party I would try for the seats towards the rear of the plane where the row configuration changes from 3-4-3 to 2-4-2. Try and get a the last row of 3 and the first row of 2.

The row/seat references are:

60 ABC & 61 AC

or

60 HJK & 61 HK

Have a look at the seat plans on the Virgin site:

Hi

I don't know if the rules have changed, but when I phoned Virgin a few weeks ago to book our outgoing seats (8 of us) for August, I was told that they could only allocate 1 window seat per party????

However, the lady I spoke to did concede 2 windo seats for us - 3 lots of 3 and two accross the aisle. However, when I called to book the inbound seats, the guy was insistant I could only have 1 and that I shouldn't have been allocated 2 on the outbound journey.

I intend using Twilight Checkin any way, so I will see if I can negotiate a 'better deal' then. As it is, at least I know we have seats together.

It seems to be a case of which Virgin operator you speak to. We had no problem getting two window seats for both outward and return journeys on our last trip.

Just be warned that pre booking seats means nothing. On both out flights last month we pre booked and when we got to the airport they hadnt even allocated us 6 together.
Outbound we did twilight check in and got it changed but coming home they refused to change them and we had 2, 3 and 1.
Not very handy.

We flew with Virgin recently. Our travel operator (Jetsave) assured us we had allocated seats. When we arrived at the airport we took our time getting to the desk, only to find that we didn't have the seats requested and ended up with 3, 1, and 1. My advise is to get there early just in case. On the way back, we checked in at 12-30 for a 20-40 flight, and spent the afternoon at the Florida Mall.
