Forgive my dumb question. This will be the first time I have driven while on a WDW trip so I am nervous and not familiar at all with the roads, routes, etc. I do not mind paying tolls if I can avoid heavy traffic. We are going to Cocoa Beach for a day. Would you please recommend the more relaxing way to get there if there is more than one route? Thank you for any help! :-)

Bonnet Creek Pkwy south to Buena Vista Dr,turn right, get on Epcot Center Dr(536) eastbound to Central Florida Greenaway (417)eastbound,then get on the Beach line (528) going eastbound, get off at (520) and go east, that road will take you to Cocoa, then Merritt Island and then cocoa Beach.

I'm cheap so I would have gotten on I-4 at Epcot Center Dr and then gotten on the 528 at I-4 to avoid the 417 tolls, but you asked for less traffic. The 528 also has some tolls but those are a must.

I live in Merritt Island & don’t recommend exiting at 520 off of 528. Tons of traffic lights. Just stay on 528 ( no extra tolls ) past Port Canaveral & 528 becomes A1A (Atlantic Avenue) which will take you right through Cocoa Beach.

I agree with you,I usually get off at 520 cause I feel the trip feels shorter to me when I can do shorter multiple stretches versus just going on one road for a longer time, just the way I drive, that and I've done the Space coast marathon the last 4 years and since I'm just going to Cocoa 520 is the better option, especially at 4am with less traffic. But yes staying on 528 is the easier straightest route.

Thank you BOTH! I do not mind paying tolls if I won't be a nervous wreck driving. We live in a really small town with zero traffic. This will be an experience for me for sure. I really appreciate your help! More than you know!
