It'll be a very bad move to request a specific room number.
Just state in your reservation that you request a lake view.
If you request a specific room number, the room assigner has no way of knowing why you want that room number. Is it your lucky number? Did you stay there 5 years ago? Did you hit the lottery playing that number? Is it a combination of your kids' birthdays? If that room is already occupied at the start of your stay, the room assigner won't be able to assign that room to you, and will just stick you in any old room. They have no way of knowing why you requested that particular room, and they won't puzzle over it and try to get into your head or try to be psychic or anything like that. One room assigner says to the other, "Room's not available, stick this reservation in any old water view, room, next case ...."
That's why it'll be better to just have it in the reservation in plain English what you want, a lake view, and they will accommodate you if they can.
I hope this makes sense ....
[Oh, and by the way, it's a river, the Sassagoula River, not a lake ... request a "river view"]
