Anyone stay in a Deluxe Studio at the Poly have a recommendation on what room to request? I've been looking at the room views on touring plans and have come up with 3911 (Tokelau). Looks like it has a partial castle view, 3rd floor and close to the ceremonial house. Any other recommendations?
I'd rather not be on the 1st floor because I'd have the fear of something crawling (or slithering) into my room :P.

We stayed in Tokelau pre DVC. Loved the location. We were in the beach end of the building facing Hawaii. I can't remember if we were on 2nd or 3rd floor! But if we looked over balcony to the right we could see the fireworks! Or just walk down the hall to beach exit door and watch on the outside stair landing.
Loved this location because it is so central. Walk out the beach end and you are very close to volcano pool & boat. Walk out main exit and you're at quiet pool. Also all floors have balconies.

I have no plan :P. I'm requesting a room via touring plans and they've made up the fax request like this..

For our upcoming stay, we'd like to request this type of room:

Bldg Tokelau,Flr 3,W-facing room.Exmple:3911,3910,3912,3909,3913,3908,3914,3907

So hopefully, something will be available in that area.

There are 288 Standard View studios at PVB, which (by virtue of being a DVC resort) is designed to be at or near 100% occupancy at all times. That should give you an idea of what your chances are of getting one of those 8 villas. Everyone requests Tokelau because of its proximity to the GCH and feature pool. Everyone wants an upper floor so that they can see over the bungalows. And most people want the west side of the building so that they can catch a sideways glimpse of the castle from their balcony. Your room request is very narrow. You may be in for a disappointment. I hope it works out for you but be prepared to be in Moorea, facing a garden path or Pago Pago with a glimpse of a parking lot.
