Hi guys,

I'm not a DVC member, but staying at the Wilderness Lodge Villas in a few weeks (11/27-12/4).

We have a 2 br, and paid a small fortune since there wasn't a discount.

I'm wondering if there are any bad locations to avoid when I make a room request. I'm a really nice guy, but will absolutely lose it if we get a view of a dumpster complete with trash truck alarm clock. There too many ducats at stake here!

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

Just remember that requests are just that and are not guaranteed.

It seems to me that the dumpster view is more of a problem for studios. There are dedicated studios at the end of the long hallway, and that's where the dumpsters are. If you were near the elevators, you would not be getting the dumpster view.

VWL is a very small resort and it really doesn't have much of a view if you don't enjoy looking at trees.

I've been to the Wilderness Lodge before.

I'm not really asking for a scenic view; trees (even a parking lot) are fine. There's a huge difference between seeing trees and seeing an oozing dumpster.

I could only imagine what would happen if I were to wake to the exhaust note of a trash truck and the banging of that dumpster being emptied at 5:00am.

Thanks.

There is a 2 br with a bad view as well. I've had it. It was at the end of the long hallway.

We had a room, not on the lake side and we were above the Mousekeeping staging area. There was a lot of noise and activity during the day when the laundry and carts were dropped off and picked up.

Try requesting a pool view or an atrium room. We had an atrium room and really enjoyed it. You could see a bit of the pool thru one window, mostly trees, but no dumpsters!!:goodvibes
