Which room Grand Calafornian

Hi All!

We are visiting disney next summer for 7 nights! We have decided to stay at the Grand Californian hotel and were wondering what preferences on view to go for, City, Downtown or Theme Park. I doubt we'd go conceirge, seems expensive for what you get!
Any advice would be great!

I wouldn't do city view, that is mostly the parking lot area from what I've seen.

Theme park view would be beautiful. As would Downtown disney for people watching. Personally, I dream of the day I can stay in GC them park view, but that would have to be a non kid trip and my husband doesn't like DL so I think it is just a dream for me.

In two weeks we return for our 4th stay at the GC. We have had a theme park view twice and a DD view once. We could only get a DD view for this visit. All of the theme park views were booked. I have to say the more I have thought about it I am kind of excited about the DD view with the Christmas decorations. Our first stay was a DD view right over the World of Disney store and it was great. I must say, however, the theme park views are magical. Both times we have overlooked Grizzly River Rapids and to watch the parks from the hustle and bustle of the daytime to the unbelievable quiet at night. Regardless, we love the GC and can't wait for our next stay.
