I will be staying at WL first week in November in a standard room. What floor and room numbers will give us a view of the MK fireworks?
Also should we have dinner at our resort?

Hi.

I can't really help you with your room oriented question, but I just wanted to let you know that getting a MK view would be really luck of the draw. I mean I'm sure someone on these boards has stayed in a standard room and could see the fireworks or something, but even if you have a specific room #, it would never be guaranteed that you'd get that room. So don't get your mind set on something like that. If you truly want a room that has a GREAT MK view, I'd switch to the Polynesian with a lagoon view or lagoon view concierge.

As far as eating at the WL, we love Whispering Canyon Cafe. The atmosphere is great as is the service and we love the food. We also really like Roaring Fork, the counter service type restaurant. We haven't tried Artist Point, but I've heard raves about it.

Hope this helps.

We were in room 4022 a few weeks ago and had a nice view of the fireworks. It was a bit obstructed with some of the trees but we could see most of them. We sat on dd's bed and opened the curtains and watched them, very cool. This was a "woodsview" room overlooking the otter pond in the north wing.

The higher numbered rooms would be to the left or to the west. Many of those are standard and overlook the loading area. You should be able to have a very good view of the fireworks from these rooms, probably 4th floor and higher. Keep in mind though that some of the trucks make very early morning deliveries so you may get some of that noise in the loading/delivery area. There was a poster who mentioned this a week or so ago and they ended up switching rooms because of it.

We had lunch and dinner at WCC, enjoyed both meals there. We had dinner at AP as well...always has been one of our favorites :p
