Which room at Poly?

Okay, I need to know which room I should request at Poly. We booked a garden view and I want to request a room but have no idea what to request. I don't want a monorail or parking lot view. Partial lagoon or castle view would be nice. I would like a balcony and definitely nonsmoking. Don't want to be too far away from monorail or bus stop. We don't mind some noise as long as it's not late at night. Any suggestions?

Also, how do I do a request? Fax, call? How far in advance?

We'll arrive at the Poly in two days, and we can't wait. All we ever request is a graden view, non-smoking with a balcony. We've never been disappointed--we've always been happy with our room. Hope our luck holds for this trip too. My thoughts are: How bad can anything be when I'm in WDW staying at the Poly. Can't wait to see the parade in the MK on Thursday night.

I wouldn't request a certain room because you probably won't get it. I would request Samoa, third floor facing the volcano pool. We had a wonderful room there in May and it had more of a lagoon view then garden. It was considered garden view and it was also non smoking. It is not far at all from the GCH as my mom cannot walk too far and this was perfect. If you want a castle view then you are going to have to pay for lagoon as you can't request what you haven't booked. You're best bet is to call CRO and have it noted in your reservation. The Poly isn't too good at paying attention to faxes.

I too agree with the other poster about samoa, 3rd floor volcano view. We had that bldg. but ground floor because that is what we wanted. Its a hop skip and jump to captain cooks for mug runs and snack stops and right in the gch for the monorail and out to the bus stop, if the weather is nicer you can also walk to the bus stop from the outside. If its raining we cut through niuie and rarotonga I think. We had aeorotora, didnt request that one, but it was garden view, what we paid for., our view that time was of the monorail.parking lot. At night sometimes you could hear the luau music. Also the luau people traffic which I didnt like. Good luck.

we stayed at the poly last Sept/Oct and were 1st floor in Somoa. I don't remember room number, but it was in the middle and we had a perfect view of the volcano pool. It was not noisy and we liked walking right out and over to the pool. The walk was not bad to the ttc or to the cerem house. Have fun!!!:D

Samoa is a great choice, just remember it's not guaranteed, we requested Samoa Volcano side but they only had quiet side available, sooooooooooooo, I had to upgrade to Lagoon Concierge's. Boy am I spoiled now.

Have Fun
