My dad and I are ditching my mom and DH and kiddos for a day at IoA - I'm not as familiar with the Universal rides - we went last year, but that was for the kids since they love Marvel. Dad and I will be hanging around the Harry Potter area the most - which rides do I avoid during the first trimester?

You can check out the Rider's Guide for safety guidelines for each attraction: http://www.universalorlando.com/Images/Riders_Guide_tcm13-26195.pdf

As you can see, every ride that has movement (with the exception of Storm Force Accelatron, One Fish Two Fish, and the Caro-Seuss-El) are not recommended for expectant mothers. Attractions that would be fine include Poseidon's Fury (walkthrough attraction), The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad (stunt show), and Jurassic Park Discovery Center (interactive exhibit).

At the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you can still enjoy walking through Hogsmeade and exploring the shops. You can also go into the castle without having to do the intense motion simulator inside. As long as the line is under a 90 minute wait, they will have their Castle Tour line open. Just ask the attendant at the front of the attraction and they'll tell you how to take the tour. It's self-guided and you can take as many pictures inside as you want and move along at your own pace.

How did Storm Force make the OK list?! I would not do that if I were pregnant...

Thank you, everyone! I won't be riding Storm Force, for sure - I don't do well with spinning rides on a good day, let alone when pregnant lol!
