which rides go upside down?

I am not sure about Ak - but in the other 3 parks the only one that goes upside down in Rock n Roller Coaster

It is in the dark or "in space" it has a few sudden dips and jolts you around some and goes in a large circle at times - BUT NEVER UPSIDEDOWN

What exactly happens on Space Mountain?
I finally got the courage to go on Space Mountain last December. I was really worked up about it, but it was nothing (and I'm a chicken). If you can ride Goofy's Barnstormer or BTMRR, you'll be fine on Space Mountain. I think it's a little jerkier than both of those (and definitely longer than Goofy's Barnstromer) but no scarier IMO (of course you'll get other opinions on the matter).

BTW: the guy behind me (DH and I did the child swap) knew I was scared and tried to help me relax. During the ride I was fine and he was screaming  !

The only ride with an inversion is RnRc - a very smooth fun steel type coaster with aerosmith music. Space mountain can best be described as a wild mouse type coaster inside a building with stars. At night it is quite dark and very cool but during the day you can generally see where you are going. You sit in cars with three single seats, two cars to a "rocket".

The first time we went to Magic Kingdom, I tricked my mom to go on Space Mountain with me (I was like 14 at the time). Kept telling her it's just a calm ride like It's a Small World.

I think she disowned me for a while after that :)

At least she laughs about it now (after 17 years)

Space Mountain doesn't go upside down. I thought it would, but it doesn't. Rock 'n Roller Coaster does! :cheer2:

RnR is really actually tame (if you are thinking big outdoor steel coasters). In fact, many people do not even know they go upside down. It's also a very short ride (less than 90 seconds). If you don't like roller coasters at all, you won't like it - but in some ways RnR is an easier ride than Space Mountain - not as many drops, over more quickly, and the ride is MUCH smoother. Space Mountain is pretty rickety these days - even though I'm a pretty hearty male I find it too jerky to be fun.

There is one other ride at WDW that 'can' go upside down, but doesn't 'have to'; CyberSpace Mountain at DisneyQuest. You program your own coaster track and the simulator lets you ride it, so if you don't want any loops/inversions, watch what you put in!

OMG- that ride is crazy! We didn't feel like creating our own so we rode a premade one- we asked for the scarriest one since we figured its just a simulator, how bad can it be? Well we didn't think that there's no g-force holding you in your seat so its pretty rough! Next time I definitly want to buy the tape of it!

I agree with NewEnglandDisney. I love going on RnR but I don't care too much for SM. I think SM jerks you around too much but RnR is very smooth.

Is my favorite of the Mountains in MK,R & R at MGM is only ride that goes upside down.I don't think Mount Everest they are building in AK is will go upside down. :goodvibes :wave2:

Yeah, Expedition Everest won't go upsidedown. I'm kind of glad- simply going upsidedown doesn't make a ride great IMO, the theming is what will make it spectacular!

There were rumors a while back that Space Mountain at DL was getting a loop during it's renovations. Anyone know if that was true?

Just wondered is RnR coaster in the dark?
I am not normally a fan of rollercoasters(big wimp), but I do love aerosmith. Just wondered if I could sing my way through it? :rolleyes1
Thanks
