Ds is a big kid, and when he sleeps he gets even heavier. We have an ergo that we never used when ds was under one, which rides can dh front wear ds on without taking him out..has anyone even had to take lo out of the ergo to ride a ride? I know Tsm I've had to remove dd when I front wore her. Honey pots? Pirates? Nemo?

I remember that we wore DD in a front carry on Spaceship Earth, Buzz Lightyear, it's a small world and Kilimanjaro Safaris.

She also stayed in her carrier for Turtle Talk w/Crush (til I had to leave because she didn't like the show), MuppetVision3D (DH was allowed to walk w/her in it at the back of the theatre) and ETWB (DH was also allowed to stand/walk with her at the back, as long as he stayed out of the way of the children walking around the room).

She rode Dumbo, Nemo and Pirates as well but we just held her in our laps for those. She slept in the stroller a lot at 8 months old, so she didn't go on as many rides as she hopefully will when we go in October.

It might also depend on the CMs and what they think is protocol, even if they're wrong. We were asked to take our little one out of the ergo for the safari. Shows and movies you're obviously good to go. We also kept him in the carrier on pooh, mermaid, nemo and pirates.

I'm always astonished that anyone is ever asked to take a baby out of a carrier. I've spent many, many days at WDW with babies in Ergos, and I've never been asked to remove my baby. I think I've ridden just about every ride a baby can go on at least once with a baby in an Ergo. I know for sure I've ridden on TSM, Dumbo, and all of the other rides I've ever seen people mention that they had to remove their babies on. It must just be individual CMs.

I want to clarify that we weren't asked to remove DD for these rides. DD had just been in the stroller prior to entering the line so we decided to hold her and not bother putting her in the carrier.

I had ds in a carrier and wanted to go on the MK carousel with my other kids DS2, DD4. I was told I had to either take ds (4 mos) out of the carrier and place him on a horse or I had to sit on the bench seats (not near the horses my other kids had chosen to ride). I guess it makes sense since it may be hard for someone to balance standing up with the baby in front? It worked out because my DH stood by our other 2 and I sat on the bench.

When I question why I had to remove my sleeping dd on Tsm I was told bc of the bar she had to face forward? So like haunted m. I'll have to remove him? We've gone to disney a billion times since we've had babies but neither baby liked Ergos so I don't know the protocall of any rides except Tsm lol

My experience was that anything baby can ride on, you can wear him on. If he doesn't meet the height restriction, he can't ride either way.

It's not a standard rule. I know that I've worn babies facing me in the Ergo on TSM, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Pooh, Buzz, and so many other rides with bars. I think a handful of the CMs are just misinformed. It probably is the rule that they have to face out when you carry them, but they should be allowed to ride in carriers facing you.

No set rule so its up to the CM on what happens. I was asked numerous times during my trip to remove baby. I have a friend who wore her DD once on the carousel the next time they went she was told to sit on the bench. I did ride POTC with my DD asleep on my back and I rode small world nursing my DD in the ergo. Anything that didn't have a lap bar seemed to be ok.

We've been 2x with me wearing babies on my back and the only issue I had was the tram. One CM made me take my DD out of the carrier and after that I just turned so I was facing out and she was in the middle. With the other DD, no issues with any rides or the tram lol. I did make sure to put her towards the middle by sitting a little tilted so to speak in the seat. They both loved all the rides!
