I've got a friend who is curious about what rides they can take their 1 year old on. I thought most of fantasyland but and any kind of boat ride. Anyone have a list they'd like to share? :thumbsup2

My babies have enjoyed most everything in MK! We've gone on:
*Dumbo
*Peter Pan
*Pooh Pan
*Small World
*carrousel
*train
*Snow White
*Pirates
*Magic Carpets
*Buzz Lightyear
*Jungle Cruise

Epcot:
*Spaceship Earth
*Ellen's Energy Ride....this is a long ride, which is great for bottle or naptime
*Tempo De Rio

Animal Kingdom:
*Safari
*Triceratops Spin

Small World has always been the one that intrigued my babies the most. They all LOVE that ride! I can't wait to take my newest one on in October!

The Unofficial Guide to WDW 2006 is a great book. I borrowed it from the local library. It is full of information and many tips/rides appropriate for small children, etc. Check it out! :sunny:

See I've got that book and it didn't even come into my mind, I guess I was just looking for the quick fix here on the dis boards! Thanks! :)

Basically anything that doesnt have a height req is fair game. However, I would avoid anything that is loud, or dark-if it has stuff that pops out. I have yet to take my 4 yr old on Snow White, and he hated the 3d movies (or anything with the special physical effects), & Haunted Mansion (that was his first trip when he was 2 and he doesnt want to go back to HM yet. We also avoided A Bugs Life and Tiki Room (loud noises and dark).

The hits were Playhouse Disney, Small World, Dumbo, Carousel, Indy Cars, train...He did like Fantasmic too which was a surprise since it was loud and had flashes of light.

Mine didn't like the 3D movies, either. Anything that moved was good, though! Favorites:
Winnie the Pooh
WDW Railroad
Tomorrowlan Transit Authority
Small World

Space Ship Earth
Journey Into Imagination
Living with the Land
Living Seas

Safari at AK
All walking tours at AK (read: stroller = ride!)

3D Movies are tough - pretty much until they are around 4 or so. The youngest we went was with a 2 1/2 year old. Our kids really enjoyed AK - the zoo part (and still do). We liked parades at a young age. Mostly, when they are one their attention will get caught by color and lights - and they probably won't even process "scary witch" - its just peek a boo. Lots of people take little ones on Haunted Mansion - but can't take preschoolers who think its scary.
