Which rides are spinning rides

I cannot do rides that spin and spin. I will get very nauseous. Roller coaster type rides are no problem at all, just spinning rides. We are planning our first trip and will be going to MK 3 days, HS 1 day, and AK 1 day. Which rides at these parks are spinning rides that I will probably want to avoid? In particular, any spinning rides that I might be booking a FP+ for. I won't want to book a FP+ for myself for any of these rides. Thanks!

Also, while they don't spin, if you are very sensitive - you might have issues with Star tours at HS (I can do it, but I have to look away from the screen some) , and with the 360 degree movie in Canada at Epcot

Do you mean the cars spin or the entire ride spins? Some like the Teacups do both. Beware Primeval Whirl is a roller coaster with spinning cars but you have clear view on what it does.

Also some rides have spin in their names but do very little real spinning. On Space Ranger Spin you more like turn the cars to point at the targets and you completely control the spinning.

Oh and the Orange side of Mission Space is a whole other universe of spinning, it goes to 11.

It depends on what you mean by spinning. These are ones my DH can't ride.

MK Epcot AK HS
Prince Charming's Carousel Mission Space Primeval Whirl Star Tours
Astor Orbiter Triceratops Spin
Aladdin's Magic Carpet
Tea Cups
Dumbo

Thank you guys!! This helps! It looks like most of the things I couldn't do are ones I wouldn't need a FP+ for anyways. So, I can just wait and see the ride and decide whether I can do it or not. I used to not have a problem when I was a kid!

Kali River Rapids has a possibility of a couple of spins on the way down or a lot of spins depending on how the raft is loaded. It would depend on how sensitive you are to spinning.

To me the spinning rides are categorized as follows:

Rides that go in a circle- Dumbo, Carrousel, Magic Carpets, Astro Orbiter, Triceratops Spin
Rides that spin the vehicle at times and it can be fast: Primeval Whirl, Kali River Rapids
Rides that are motion machines and can include 360s: Star Tours, Mission Space Green
Spinning is the main motion of the ride- Mission Space Orange

And don't forget Toy Story Midway Mania -- those cars whip around pretty quickly at times, and my DW, who gets motion-sick, was a bit green at the end...

It seems like the list of rides that spin is getting longer and longer :worried: I am going to have to just try and avoid the ones that very obviously spin all the time, and try out some of the others. This is our first time to Disney and it might be the last or it might be awhile before we return, so I want to try and ride everything I can. But, I also don't want to be sick. It will also be the 1st week in June, which will be hot, which will not help with motion sickness. Luckily my husband is fine on all rides, so at least my 5 year old DD will have someone to ride with!

I am in the same boat. I will avoid the obvious spinners and hope for best on the rest. I was thinking of taking some bonine or other over the counter motion sickness remedy as well to be safe.

I think a lot of spinning issues depend on the individual person. For example, DD15 gets quite sick from spinning, but the slower spinning rides -- Dumbo, Aladdin's Carpets -- don't bother her. Astro Orbiter, however, is a killer for her. She'll do teacups, but only if we hold the center part so it doesn't spin. She usually skips the carrousel, too.

At AK, Primeval Whirl made her sick, and Kali did also.

She didn't have any problems at HS. Strangely, even though I don't get motion sickness, I have a hard time riding Star Tours.

She's never had a problem on Toy Story or Buzz. I think that's because, while they move around, they don't spin in circles. Buzz is good because you control the motion of the car, so you can spin or not spin -- but it's really more of a turn for both of those rather than a spin.
