Which rides are must not do's when three or less months pregnant? I am working on tweaking my touring plan, and I may be three months (or less) pregnant when we go in June. Missing some of the rides won't be a big deal b/c my dh won't ride the roller coasters or TOT anyway. I have never been to an amusement park while pregnant, so I was just wondering what you guys have and haven't ridden while just a little pregnant.

Rides to avoid:

Indiana Jones
BTMRR
Matterhorn
Star Tours
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
That little coaster in Toon Town.. forgetting the name right now.

I'd also say to avoid Roger Rabbit's. I'm pretty sure it's not restricted for pregnant women b/c I rode it late last year at almost 8 months pregnant. But the rides was so jerky and bumpy that it made me really uncomfortable.

They have warning signs on all of them, and the ones I can think of are:

1. Big Thunder
2. Space Mountain
3. Splash Mountain
4. Matterhorn

My doctor told me to be very careful even on waterslides (we were going to WDW/Typhoon Lagoon). Any "drop" can cause the tiny capillaries to burst in a fetus...that scared me enough to be VERY careful! Those early months are also the most fragile in a lot of ways. Just read each sign.

Wow, I was 6 mos preggo at one visit to the Land and did Space Mountain. . .I was afraid they would "notice" that I was pregnant and kick me off but they didn't. Since DH wont do rollercoasters you are pretty much safe. . .If the ride has a lap bar or other physical restraint that must be cinched around waist, I would avoid it until you are further along. . .

To add to this:

Mad Tea Party
PotC? (2 drops)
Mulholland Madness
Grizzly River Run
California Screamin
ToT
ITtbaB? (seats poke you in the back)
Sun Wheel (moving cars)
Maliboomer
Orange Stinger

Really, you can't do POTC? I figured all of the roller coasters, but dh won't ride those anyway. It's a bummer that you can't do Indy, because I've never done that ride before-but I have done Dinosaur many times at WDW. I saw ITTBAB at WDW and don't see anything wrong with it.

I would do POTC in a heartbeat. Man that person is REALLY careful. I would do all but the most jolting rollercoasters. Especially since I am fit and I was still running up until I was about 7 1/2 mos pregnant (my chest got too large and it hurt when I ran).

I did POTC when I was 4 months pregnant. I must admit, it did freak me out a little bit as the drops did fell a bit "rough"...not so much to keep me off the ride the rest of the trip, but the first time I felt a little unprepared.

The other one that I found very "jarring" was Roger Rabbit. I did not go on this one again.

I did POTC about a hundred times while pregnant. :) I've rode that ride in all 3 trimesters and it never bothered me a bit. Plus the CM's never said a word to me, even when I went a few months ago at 8 months pregnant. No way they didn't know I was pregnant. You should be fine riding it. :)

I also did the the tea cups too and had no problems. :confused3 Sun Wheel should be fine too, regardless of whether you go on a stationary gondula or not.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Autopia. That ride will jerk the snot out of ya!

Oh, and I agree that PoTC is perfectly fine when you're expecting. I even did Splash Mtn. (no flaming please).

I went to WDW when I was 4 months pregnant and did all the "easy" rides. I miscarried about 2 weeks when I got back from my trip. I now wish I would have been more careful. I do not know if the rides had any effect on me but I know I will always question myself for going on them. Personally I think when you are pregnant you can never be too careful.
