Every time I have ridden Buzz Lightyear, it has been much less than the posted wait time. Last time (off-season) it said 20 minutes, but was a walk on.

IMO, disney always posts a longer wait time (to discourage the crowds?), especially near closing time.

When the line for Stitch winds back behind the bldg. it's always been longer than stated.

Last week many rides has 20 minutes, we only wait about 5-10 minutes

In September I notice this as well. We usually always walk on any ride

Splash Mountain for sure. The wait posted was 30 minutes when we got there but we ended up standing in line for nearly 50 minutes!

I blame it on the FP, not that I don't think they're absolutely wonderful and a great sanity saver because they are, but when you're annoyed, sweaty, and almost late for a PS you can't help but feel resentment towards those lucky (and undeniably smart) ones who whisk by you with looks of sympathy and pity as your legs begin to seize to function properly from standing in one place for so long.

Whoa. I think that's the mother-of-all run-on sentences. I should get a medal.

Or at least a FastPass to Splash Mountain ;)

We once entered the Single Riders line at Mission:Space. It had a 15 minute wait posted, while Standby was 30. We actually waited 40 minutes. That was a one time occurrance. We used Single Riders very well on President's Week. Only had a 7 minute wait with 20 posted!

The Haunted Mansion usually says 13 minutes, even when there's no line...

It seems to me that one almost always ends up waiting for less time than the posted "wait time." I suspect that the cast members have been advised to post a longer wait time so that the guests will be happy, and think they are getting a good deal, when they enter the attraction earlier than they thought they would.

The only exception I've noticed is for Peter Pan's Flight in the Magic Kingdom. I know that this particular ride is slow loading by nature, but for some reason the wait always seems to me to be much longer than I thought it was going to be. (Sometimes I wish that I could fly.)

Enjoy.

Test Track standyby line was quoted at 25 mins. We waited almost an hour...

Peter Pan's Flight is another, the stand-by time said 30 minutes, so we jumped in lone, the next thing we know we've been in line for who knows how long.

Justa couple of days ago we were headed to Soarin'. The wait time was 50 minutes. We usually never wait that long for a ride but we said, what the heck? It'll be fun. It ended up being only around 20-30 minutes waiting. :)

Took the words right off of my keyboard... :teeth:

The only rides I've experienced longer than posted waits was for Peter Pan and Test track(I think it just breaks down alot while I'm already in line). Peter Pan always seems to be a longer wait than posted and fast passes are frequently out later in the day. They seem to leave a lot of fast pass people through before they let any standby people ride.

Don't worry about wait times, just get fastpass. We were at magic kingdon toay and fastpassed everything we could and walked right on...

While many rides tend to post wait times MUCH longer than they really are, Splash seems to be quite "Conservative" (IMO) with their wait times. The last 3 times I've been on:

Posted: 5 minutes, Actual: 15 minutes
Posted: 45 minutes, Actual: 65 minutes
Posted: 75 minutes, Actual: 150 minutes

Now when we went to Buzz it said 30 minutes. I was hoping it was over stating it..so we got in line and 1 hour and 40 minutes later we got off. It was so not worth it. Unfotunately this was at the beginning of the day and only our 2nd ride. Needless to say DD(4) was now done for the day as well as dh who was not amused. The air was not working in the building and it was a 90 degree day.
Our fastpass experience sucked as well - we waited for our one hour wait for Space mountain- got there and it had broken down.

you just never know..i think you'd be better off no planning and then you won't have any let downs.

hi
last week soarin was showing a wait time of 75 mins, as we had been on the ride we could roughly judge the wait - it was 10 mins! :cool1:
