We are taking step- daughter on trip in Dec. and would like to pick restaurants that have that special Disney feel! We have invited her several times before and she's always "busy". We would love to make this an extra magical trip! Please help! This will be our first trip in Dec. also, and we will be staying at WL! TIA!

Cape May Cafe` Clam bake... and `Ohana::yes::

DW and I like the character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. A window seat at 'Ohanas for wishes is very nice for dinner. LeCellier at Canada in EPCOT for dinner could also be a choice.

Sci Fi for sure and most definetly a character meal. How old is she? Who are her favorite characters?

We need to know her age in order to be the most helpful. My teenage nieces were wowed by the view of MK from the Cal. Grille.

Ohana's at the Poly and Whispering Canyon at WL is alot of fun!!

We are always wowed by BOMA, because the service has always been great and we definitely haven't gotten the food or the ambience anwhere else.

Sci Fi is another favorite because we love the starry sky. We also like a lot of the World Showcase restaurants, but those are restaurants that you could probably find in a lot of bigger cities.

If she's into princesses, maybe Cinderella' Round Table?

How old is your step-daughter? That can make a big difference in which WDW restaurants would be a "WOW". Also, is she a pickey eater ? Any dietary issues?

Our recommendations to first-timers are usually:

On MK Day - head to 'Ohana at the Poly for dinner
On AK Day - head to Boma at AKL for dinner
On Epcot Day - head to a World Showcase restaurant for dinner (Mexico for atmosphere or Le Cellier for good food for pickier eaters or lots of other great choices)
On MGM Day - head to a restaurant that will allow you to do the Fantasmic dinner package, and to Sci Fi for lunch, if time allows
On another Day - head to one of the character meals.

Since you're right there, Whispering Canyon at WL is lots of fun, too.

Have fun!

Mystep-daughter is 24, and loves to have fun! I'm not sure what character she likes best, but I will try to find out! I love all your suggestions so far! I do have a ps for MVMCP at LTT. I also really like the idea of SciFi and I'm thinking about the ice cream social at GG. Also, since we are staying at WL I might do WCC (B or D?)! Thanks so much for your help! I really would like to make this a nice trip for her!

You HAVE to do WCC if you will be at WL. She is of an age that she will get a real kick out of it, especially if they make fun of you or dh! Maybe a late dinner & then go watch the water parade.
Here is a major WOW, go to any GF restaurant and pre-order the Cinderella slipper dessert so it is ready for her at dessert! Amazing!!!

If she likes to have fun, she'll also get a kick out of 50's Prime Time, with it's "family atmosphere" and the snippets from 50's tv shows, as well as Sci-Fi Dine In with its drive-in movie theme and cartoons and previews.

Boma is also great because before or after dinner, you can go out to the viewing area off the lobby and see the animals.

I have to add another vote (actually five votes!) from our family for Boma. We took our first trip in June, and decided at the very last minute to see if we could get PS for Boma for our first night's dinner. It was absolutely wonderful - from the theming/decor to our waiter (Ali) to the food. My kids (ages 12, 14, and 17) are still talking about it to anyone who will listen! You might go to
www.AllEarsNet.com
- they have lots of good information about the WDW restaurants along with photos. Hope you have a great trip!

I would say Todd English's BlueZoo at the Dolphin although it doesn't have a Disney feel to it, but rather a Vegas or Miami sense. Jiko at AKL is also another wonderful choice as is Le Cellier as others have mentioned. We made a PS for Artist Point, but never made it. It looked like a great place to eat. Wherever you go, I'm sure that y'all will have a fantastic time.

Try a 7:45pm seating at the Rose and Crown in Epcot then hope for an outdoor seat. You will have a great dinner and an even better spot to watch Illuminations.
