Which restaurants near Poly offer carry-out menus?

Since you desire to eat in room, I think your best bet would be to order food from Garden Grocer so you can make simple things for the kids to eat. If you go to Publix, their deli sandwiches, chicken tenders, salads, etc. are delicious.

Thanks for the suggestions. We don't necessarily desire to eat in our room...we just don't want to go out to restaurants for dinner. We have options other than our room at Poly. We have a poolside patio reserved on several days and I believe we can take carry-out to the upper level of the CL if it's not too busy. Plus a picnic blanket! I'm not worried about the location of the meal - just wanted some options for food beyond what is on site. Will check out GG and Publix.

Your response piqued my interest so I gave them a call. It seems like policy has changed a little since your last visit. The CL concierge recommended I use UberEats via mobile app being sure I had the zip code for the hotel so I could see what off site restaurants are participating in the program. She also asked what type of food I liked to eat. Since I dinna know what Surgie2 wanted I left that for her to answer, LOL.
Nice to know the CL concierges are acting like other hotels' personnel.

Thanks so much for checking! I will get the app and start exploring.

As Stevie Wonder sez....don't you worry about a thing, LOL.
We're going back to WDW this July and it's nice to have all the ducks in a row:). I got sick at the end of our last trip and had an unrequited longing for chicken matzoh soup; UberEats should be able to fill the bill.
Wish this "Noonie and Ompaah" were staying at Poly again but hoping Contemporary and YC can fill the void.

PS...if you order a steak or similar have room service send up a couple of steak knives since there probably won't be any in the room. I travel with a laguiole but that's just a leftover from my camping days.

Lol thanks for that thought - actually we are Nana and Papa of the 4 grandkids and we are giving the parents a night out with Lilo's Playhouse for the older three while parents do an Illuminations cruise. They are giving us a different night out at Jiko's so the adults should all be pretty relaxed...in theory.

Didn’t know if you knew that Lilo’s was closing at the end of July. Didn’t know when your trip was.

I would also suggest taking an Uber to Publix. We love their sandwiches and other deli items. You could easily bring items from Publix back and store in the refrigerator and then find someplace at the resort to eat. Since it's a grocery store it would be easier for just one person to take the Uber to Publix and then bring some food back in the the grocery bags. I think Captain Cooks has a microwave so you would be able to heat anything up there. Have a great time!

Yes, we are beginning of May so we're ok. Disappointed it is closing. In-room sitter would not be nearly as much fun for our older ones.

Staying 9 nights at Poly and not likely to be in parks at dinner time. We have 4 little ones ages 1-5 and want to keep dinners simple (only one dinner ADR for the stay). We are staying CL so those munchies will be enough for some in our family but not others. No car, but someone can take Uber to go get food if necessary.

I know we could take the monorail over to GF or Contemporary for QS options but if we don't have to leave the resort on some nights that would be great. Thinking about doing 'Ohana room service and ordering pizza delivery. But after that I'm stumped. Any easy ideas?
I guess you are flying since you mention not having a car. We drive and always bring a few items the kids can have in the evenings if they get tired of Disney food-soups, bread and PB, apples, etc. Also the gift shops have a small food selection. Have you thought about a small food delivery? Plus I know you mentioned the QS places, but we found they have a wide variety so even if you get tired of the chicken nuggets, etc., they usually have a soup or something light to offer. Sorry, I’m not familiar with the off site places.

Room service is going to be your best option, along with simply taking the kids to the QS around the monorail. I don't know if I would bother waiting for the QS to go to take back to the room.

I haven't used Ubereats in Orlando, but we have used it in Atlanta. May be a reasonable option for your family (you don't have to go get the food, the food comes to you!).

AGREE with this, my daughter uses a service like this at college. Great food comes to you and the delivery fee is not too steep. Normally based on the trip, not the amount.

I just checked Uber Eats - wow very limited selection compared to other cities. But maybe it is just limited for the Poly address. Will continue to look closer to our arrival.

My family (me, DH, and DS - 18 months at the time) stayed CL when we went last year, although we were at WL. We found plenty of food there at dinner time that we didn’t ever go get food elsewhere. It was the main reason we stayed CL - had 2 meals per day in the lounge, which was much easier with the toddler.

I can’t recommend carry out meals, but we’re impressed by the Ohana Twilight Feast (room service). We ordered one meal and it was enough for DH, myself, and DDs to split.

So, some of things we've done in the past are pack non-perishables such as Easy Mac/bread/chips/peanut butter/jelly/apples/bananas etc. and then order from either Garden Grocer or Amazon Prime Now for cold stuff & drinks (lunchmeats, cheese, yogurt, milk, juice boxes, Cokes, bottled water, etc.).

We've also had 1 adult travel to Disney Springs to get sandwiches from the Earl of Sandwich (delicious and wonderful prices by Disney standards) for carry out and bring them back to the hotel. The Poly beach would make a great picnic spot- especially close to fireworks time.

One last thing we've done is just order Papa Johns for delivery. They are required for you to pick up at the lobby, but it was quick, painless, and a lot cheaper than Disney.

The cabanas are such a great addition to the pools. No need for the morning towel ritual and tons of shade no matter where the sun is located. I saw on another post you noted a limited choice of restaurants for UberEats. I would check the other monorail hotels' participating restaurants too as I saw some other restaurants that weren't listed for Poly but were for GF and Contemporary. And another vote for Publix. Haven't been to the one near Disney but have ones in Miami and Ft Lauderdale. They have a large selection of pre-cooked foods.

Anything nonperishable can be packed in checked luggage. Frozen fruits KR vegetables can be packed to keep perishables cold. For that matter, so can dry ice - depending on the airline.

Probably most convenient QS alternative would be walk to/from GF, or monorail to and launch back.

If you're ok with venturing off property, there's a Publix on 535 (probably the closest one to the Poly) that's probably only about a 15-20 minute drive away, and they've recently put in some nice places to eat there. There's a little French bakery that has amazing crepes, sandwiches and pastries, a Tijuana Flats, The Big Easy just opened a location there (New Orleans style food), I think there's a Chinese place there too - and they all offer carry out. Might be worth sending someone in an Uber to pick food up. If you want to look them up, the area is called Westside Shoppes in Windermere.

That all sounds great - thanks everyone for help!
