Which restaurants have large tables?

trying to make reservations for a party of 8 and keep getting the message "you may be seated at different tables". We all want to sit together so I'm looking for places that accommodate large parties.

*Most* of the time you will still sit together. I think they have to issue the disclaimer.

Last year, our party of 9 never had to split up.

Group Dining seems to be better able to combine tables, but only so many of those are available per seating. You will *likely* still have good luck when not booking via Group Dining. The restaurants will do their best for you.

Don't worry about it. The restaurants will work it out to keep your party together. We have done groups of 12-15 many times. We are almost always seated at the same table. Only on a couple of occasions were we split, but the tables were right next to each other.

We've also done several large party vacations. The places where we have been split have been Sci Fi, Coral Reef, Crystal Palace. In these places, we were seated at tables next to each other though.

I can understand Sci Fi since they are cars not tables! I guess a better question would be are there any restaurants that do not seat large parties?

Le Cellier might be hesitent to seat a large group because that could be half the restaurant.

I would call the Group Dining or Grand Gathering line and ask them (hoping to get someone that actually *knows*).

We got the "your party may be seated at another table" speil when I made ressies and it was for 2!!!

I think it is to "cover their bases" but....I suppose it can happen. But all the places have large tables, or put tables together all the time.
Now LeCellier is small, but when we ate there, we saw a large group, didn't count but I would say at least 10 together. They were right in the middle of the restaurant.

But to be on the safe side, call grand gatherings see what they say.

Virtually any restaurant can handle large groups. However, they must have the physical space available to be able to put the tables together. They may have the tables empty at the time you arrive but they may be scattered throughout the restaurant in a way that there is no space to create a table for eight. In that case, you will most likely be offered the choice of separate tables or to wait until a table can be created (they'll say available).

That's why the disclaimer. At restaurants like the one in our hotel, the wait may be 40 minutes in that situation, but at Disney, where the restaurants are much busier it may be as much as a couple of hours. But as people say, Disney is pretty good at avoiding the worst case.

However, don't worry about the restaurant, they can all do it.
