Which restaurant would you recommend?

We are taking my mother to DL for her 60th B'day in May. She hasn't been to DL since she was a kid, and we want to take her somewhere nice for lunch or dinner.

Here are the considerations:
1. She has lots of food allergies, particularly to spices, so we need nice food but it has to be kind of "plain"
2. We have 2 daughters, age 5 and 1, so it can't be too fancy/too quiet in case they are not perfectly behaved
3. We are staying at DLH, but it could be anywhere on property.

TIA! ;)

My vote is for Storyteller's. They will take her allergies into consideration. They have the most excellent service and the kids will be comfortable there.

That was going to be my recomendation as well.

Do they serve dinner or only lunch? I found their lunch menu on allears but didn't see dinner.

Try www.dlresortinfo.com And yes, they do have dinner. They have characters at breakfast, then regular non- character lunch and dinner service. They offer both a buffet or menu service for dinner.

Storyteller's or Goofy's Kitchen both have buffests which will allow her to select items that are safe for her. Storyteller's is nicer, GK is more amusing for the kids.

Be aware - this is Disney. Even when we ate at Napa Rose earlier this month (on a Saturday night no less) most tables seemed to have kids at them. I would just choose the restaurant that is most appealing to you.

I vote for Storyteller's as well. I love it there! Just tell your server about the allergies and they will help accomodate.

:thumbsup2 Thanks everyone! Sounds like Storyteller's is the winner! How soon ahead can I make Priority seating there?

I think reservations are 60 days in advance. Be sure to tell them its a special occassion.

I haven't been to Storytellers, but I did call the head chef for the DLR park about DH's food restrictions. He assured me that every restaurant will accomodate special needs, you just need to notify your server and perhaps speak with the chef. He said they can specially prepare one of their dishes, or with prior notice prepare a special (not on the menu) dish. He also assured me that all the restaurants at CA operate with the same accomodation, so not to be worried about being limited to one or two places. :)
