:) Last year we did the Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic package. It was just ok. I am reading alot of unfavorable reviews for it lately. We want to do the package again this year and I'm not sure if I should change places. Thanks for any help.

We've eaten at all three. Had the same reaction to H&V...ehh (shoulder shrug). Brown Derby was nicer, but Mama Melrose is our hands down favorite of the three. Go there.

I like the Brown Derby best! Mama Melrose is nice too, but you have to order off a special Fantasmic Dinner Menu.

We ate at Mama Melrose last year(fantasmic dining package) Food was so good we booked again for this trip!

We did H&v last time and was not impressed. We have MM booked for Aug. Looking forward to trying it. Would love to try BD but that 2TS and I'm cheap

We make MAMMA's a Disney "must" every trip. Something so "familiar" about the decor (ok so i'm from a cluttery DEGO household). :lmao:

Well the only one of the three Ive tried is H&V and it was aweful and BD is two credits so I would go with Mama Melrose and really i dont believe Ive ever read a bad review on the place..

HI this OCT will be No#3 trip to MGM and NO#3 trip to the
Brown Derby :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

My DM 83 loved BD
My DS 8 loved BD

YOU WILL ALSO :thumbsup2

Have a great trip
GOS BLESS

MARY ;)

Mama Melrose is a must do for us even if we aren't doing the package. That would be my choice for the package.

Might help in making your decision.....Mama's is only one TS credit for the Fantasmic! Package....(if you are on the Dining Plan)
We did the Brown Derby on our last trip for Fantasmic! and it was delicious, very good food, pleasant experience all around.
But, I am thrilled to read all these great reviews for Mama's because we have our ressies for this November for the Fantasmic Package.
It sounds like I made the right choice!
Yummy Yummy

We are planning on going on Thanksgiving night. Do you know if they offer chicken or turkey for kids. I know this sounds silly but my DD is a very fussy eater. Thanks so much for the help and I am cheap too so BD is out for 2 dining credits.Although, I would love to try it.

I'm sorry to say this, and I hope our experience was just a rare occurance. But dinner at MM w/ FDPkg was the WORST meal we had at Disney. The food was cold, and not very good at all. Yes, there is a special menu but we thought we found plenty for our family of 4. It just was really lacking. We were very disappointed and won't go back again. This was Dec 2005 btw so it's a recent disappointment.

As for H&V, we tried them last April....and hey, it's a buffet, but there were plenty of options to enjoy for all in our group. It's noisy...but the food was good.

Having just eaten at BD last week we have now eaten at all three of the Fantasmic package restaurants. DH and DDs love H&V and BD was wonderful (but as others said is 2TS or pricey if you are not on the dining plan) but my favorite is MM. We have it scheduled for our November trip and I'm really looking forward to it. We had plenty of food and there was enough variety on the limited menu to suit everyone in the family. We did have really slow service while we were there but were glad for a little break from the hustle and bustle of the trip! Enjoy!

Having seen the new menu on allears for Brown Derby I'd go with that one. Duck and duck sausage for me :thumbsup2

We have been to Brown Derby - loved it!
Mama Melrose 2x - loved it the first time, just okay the 2nd.
Trying Hollywood & Vine this time, mostly so I will have tried them all.

does anyone know why 50sPT is not one of the restaurants? H&V was mediocre, IMO and MM and BD don't really appeal to me.

Because 50sPT and SciFi consistently fill up on their own. The Dinner Package was created to fill the restaurants that do not normally book up without the incentive.

Best wishes -
